I’ve never been quite fond of a beach vacation.

I’d rather be high up hiking in the mountains-- probably a subconscious connection I make with my own dream of being able to float. Yeah, not to necessarily fly-- in case it startled you. A gentle suspension in mid-air would content me just fine.

But with a set-up like this; the brisk wind behind my ears, the gentle sound of rolling waves, while rubbing my neck against a linen pillowcase, and the settling lights seeping through a window on a fiction book in my hands-- now that’s what I call a vacation by the beach.

Alright, alright, okay. Sticking with a hike for now.
