"Having plans would require....seeing him. As I've been out of town, I haven't been seeing much of anyone."
"Oh come now Ally it’s not so bad. Free sweets, people adoring you. I’d think you’d rather enjoy it." She smirked.
"People adore me year round, rightfully so. Today, they choose to adore each other, and I have to bare witness to it."
"Of all the days in the year, this one is easily the least enjoyable. Everyone is so....happy. It's sickening."

Alec,
Hey, how are you? I haven’t been able to talk to you lately, and I haven’t gotten the chance to bump into you during missions. I do hope you’re doing well, though. I show up at yours every once in a while, but I don’t seem to catch you there.
Anyway, I got you something. It’s not as extravagant as what I got you last year, but I think it will be of great use to you.
Got you a Foe Glass, Alec. It has the ability to show you the faces of your enemies. If you’re seeing others’ faces on the glass, it means those people are after you, with not so friendly intentions in mind. The clearer their reflection look, the closer they are to you. If you can see the whites in their eyes, they’re supposedly standing right behind you.
I know seeing your enemies’ faces has the potential to wreck your day, but with what we’re doing now, being able to know if any of your enemies are at your trail and are after you will be of great assistance.
And since I have a hunch that there would be nights that you might not be able to resist the urge to throw things at the glass and at the faces of your enemies, and probably throw spells at it, too. I took the liberty of putting protective enchantments. The glass is protected from breakage. And only you will be able to use it as well. To others, it would be nothing but an old mirror.
Happy Christmas, Alec.
I might pop in one of these days. I hope I catch you this time.

Merry Christmas~
Dear Ally,
You’ve been the best friend a girl could ever ask for. I love you so much, and I hope you know I’d do anything for you, I’d give anything to see you happy, all you’d have to do is say the word. All these years of friendship with you have made my life worth it Ally dear. But now that I’m done with the mush on to what you actually want your presents =D!
This seemed sort of your style. Found it at this interesting store in Knocturn Ally. Don’t know if you’ve seen it but in case you haven’t it’ll be my little secret because it appears to be a great place to get you gifts from.
I couldn’t resist this flask for you dear because you are a siren. Beautiful, but deadly. How could any man resist? In fact it’d be any mans honor to be drown by you.
Last but not least I felt this screamed you. We are after all still ladies right? Just so you know while the edge daggers are in fact decoration the three in the middle are detachable and quite sharp, have fun darling.
Love, Em
"Nice to know I’ve got to be on my death bed."
❝Sorry, Emma, I didn't realize it was you, I just- I can't get caught here.❞
❝Unless you've come to tell me you're dying, I don't particularly care.❞

Another Carrow. How lucky am I? I’m glad to see you’ve been well, Alecto.
❝Excellent, actually. Living a lavish lifestyle with people who actually matter, because y'know, I'm not a traitor.❞
"Could? I’d bet my life savings on it. Come now Ally you can’t rule a world that doesn’t exist now can you? See I knew it! Though I don’t blame you I agree completely in fact. How is little Hecate doing anyways?"
❝Also true - I've forgotten how logical you are. That's just too many rules for one world. Well, I suppose now would be the time to tell you I got a cat. His name is Hades, and he's taken over your room while you've been away.❞
Well, look who it is.
❝I decided to take it upon myself to visit once your return was announced. It has been far too long.❞
❝Sub-par. That all you got, Pettigrew?❞
Yay it’s snowing! Who wants to make snow angels?
❝Just when I thought Hogwarts couldn't get any more ..... childish.❞
All I’ve been doing is working and sleeping — and feeling sick to my stomach.
It would be nice to have some company for a change.
❝What a shame. If only I cared.❞
scarecarrow:
The lingering phantoms of his mind hung between them like frosted breath in a field of darkness, and Amycus savored the moment, when all that was before him was his sister, her dark eyes reflecting the wonder which shone from his own — the wonder which was not only for the cries of war which were resounding within the recesses of his memory, but for the knowledge that he had come back alive despite all the dangers and risks. That death had nearly touched him, and yet by all odds, he had escaped it. It was an exhilarating feeling, to wear the souls of a dozen murdered men upon his arm, branded into his skin. A trophy which lasted forevermore, if he wished it.
His gaze is fixed upon her, taking in every detail, drinking in every curve — the smoothness of her porcelain cheeks, her perfect nose, the soft lips. Features which he had grown so accustomed to, and yet had never truly treasured until they had been tossed into these throes of war like wooden figurines. Flawless. That is what they are, and what they would remain. Untouchable. He is mesmerized, not for the first time, with the being which constructs the other half of him, the soul which houses the other pieces of his cold-beating heart.
”I knew that beneath all your guises, you cared.” There is a smirk which surfaces, teeth which flash white against the shadows of this corner of their dusty abode.
"I would have struck down a thousand more if you had been there, Alecto. Next time, remind me. Remind me that we share a name, that we shared a womb. That my victory is yours.”
It was true. It was all true. There had never been an achievement that he had taken for himself. It was for both of them, the Carrows, Alecto and Amycus. One wasn’t quite complete with the other, and he knew that these moments of hallowed glory were meant not only for his eyes, his ears, his recollection; but also for hers. He loved these moments of storytelling, when he could relay wonders to her and know that she felt the rush through his words.
“They know nothing of our power. Every time we set foot in that blasted school, we could be murdering that bloody old fool. Imagine it, sis — one life of our own sacrificed in the struggle, and we could claim victory.”
A pause, and he leans away, suddenly aware of how close he has gotten, how close they have gotten. ”I’d do it in a heartbeat. If not for you.”
Despite all attempts at aloofness, of a straight face with lies that rolled off the tongue, the truth was always revealed itself around Amycus. Mostly due to a deeply hidden weakness, for keeping a secret from your other half was nearly impossible. & despite their talents, weapons, power, it was dangerous. Every word he spoke was of danger - and the rush it gave him only increased it. For to walk into battle with a smile was akin to walking in unarmed. And without her there, that was often how it felt. [ she was the armour, and he the sword ]
❝I never took you as the sort who had to be reminded of such a thing. As if leaving me here alone should ever be an option. Let alone a final decision.❞ Though Alecto was uncharacteristically happy on the inside at his return, the sting of being left behind was overpowering.
Even if they were assigned different missions, they made it work out somehow. Besides, they were the Carrows, and everyone knew that they worked better together. After all, they had grown up fighting one anothers battles. Cleaning up the mess of the other after certain altercations got carries away, scrounging the depths of the forbidden section in the library to improve their skills, lying through their teeth to protect the other. That's what they did. She p r o t e c t e d him. And she damn well couldn't do that if they were in separate parts of the country. But most days it felt like he didn't quite care about that. Things were different now. Alecto didn't go to him when there was a storm, or look at him for that nod of approval before taking matters into her own hands. She weathered her own storms; she need not permission from any man. & he was walking into battles without her. Killing without her.
❝Oh, if I could love anything, I'd love to see the light leave that old croak's eyes. Trying to contain us for all those years, then crucifying us when he so pleased. Some people never learn.❞
"No worries love none comes to mind.I don’t think this world could handle an army of you. One is just enough, plus they’d all think they were the leader and I could see that turning to chaos very quickly. That’s just sad, but perhaps very true. Then you my dear are the only one who can do that. You’re the one with all the pet names."
❝Oh, that is true... Alecto versus Alecto could very well end in world destruction - something I would not protest to seeing, actually. Ah - well - whatever. Animals don't talk, which I do like. I suppose.❞
