"You know, I’m not actually sure myself… I sort of… lost that train of thought."
"We seem to be off on the right track, now aren't we? ...to be honest, I'd like a track to be on..."
I didn't catch what you were trying to say.
Keira Knightley photographed by Andy Gotts, 2004.
"Marrying filth has made you daft, i see. I would say its piteous but, I care not to even offer that."Â
All you who have issues with me know right how to hit where it hurts. I'm so daft and deserve a veiled pitying. You'll never know the pain that causes.
"What is it this time? I don’t have all day to stand here and be stared at. So speak or leave."Â
That's funny. I remember you enjoying being stared at.
"Even when it’s coming from your dear Cissy and Bella? I’m surprised at your newfound lack of care, Andromeda. You always used to be soft. You know, if you needed a teddy bear, you should’ve just asked. The one you have is tacky. "
Let's get a few things straight. First, my so-called family and sisters are the ones who are choosing not to speak me. If they wanted to talk, I would be more than willing, but in their eyes I'm nothing. It's not a "newfound lack of care", it's self-preservation, if you truly want to know. Although, I'm sure you of all people could care less. Secondly, why does it always come down to insulting Ted? You all need to focus on something else because it's getting old.
"I have broken some, I’m not as saint-like as you think I am. Like that time I promised Sirius before that I wouldn’t ever put anything in his morning soup, but I’ve broken that every morning ever since. Just because I’m pretty sure he’d been doing the same to me." He gave her a wide grin, one that was meant to look innocent, sweet. "I do appreciate, though, that you trust my word a lot. And, as I’ve already proven, my promises are kinda special. S’alright, though. You’ve just cemented that promise even further with the box of fags."
"Possibility," he clucked his tongue, his face twisting disapprovingly, "Why haven’t you clarified it yet, is the question, Andy. You can go to Mungo’s anytime, and it’s not like that would look suspicious. If somebody caught you, you can just say you’re visiting Ted."
He pinned her with a look, then, a serious one that always meant business. “It seems to me as though I’m more excited about this possibility than you are. What, are you…scared or something?”
"Saint-like?" she said with sarcasm in her voice and a smirk on her face. "Do you really try to sell that saint-like story, James? I would say I'm shocked Sirius believed in a promise from you but he--" she stammered. "You know, considering how the two of you are with your jokes and pranks." She looked him in the eye, hoping her thick bluntness didn't mess everything up.
"To be honest, I'm scared to find out if I'm pregnant. Look at the state of everything. What would it be like to bring a baby into a world full of chaos and war? How would I know how to be a Moth--" she pursed her lips. "Sorry, James. It's a lot of stress and I don't know how to deal with it...so I'm not. Really brave, huh?"
"Well, you’re on the losing side. Obviously your year was terrible.”Â
The only terrible thing about my year was hearing the begging to not leave the Black manor. And begging isn't such a terrible thing to hear.
"Well, look who it is. Come to congratulate me for another fantastic year?"
We have quite different views of what constitutes a fantastic year.
INFPs are imaginative idealists, guided by their own core values and beliefs. To a Healer, possibilities are paramount; the realism of the moment is only of passing concern. They see potential for a better future, and pursue truth and meaning with their own individual flair.
INFPs value authenticity and want to be original and individual in what they do. They are often concerned with a search for meaning and truth within themselves. Following tradition holds little appeal for the INFP; they prefer to do their own exploration of values and ideas, and decide for themselves what seems right. INFPs are often offbeat and unconventional, but they feel no desire to conform. The INFP would rather be true to themselves than try to fit in with the crowd.
They are flexible and accommodating, and can often see many points of view. It is important to the INFP to support other people; however, the INFP may react strongly if they feel their own values are being violated. They especially hate being steamrolled by people who insist there is one right way to do things. INFPs want an open, supportive exchange of ideas.Â
INFPs may initially seem cool, as they reserve their most authentic thoughts and feelings for people they know well. They are reflective and often spiritual, and often interested in having meaningful conversations about values, ethics, people, and personal growth. Typically curious and open-minded, the Healer continually seeks a deeper understanding of themselves and of the people around them. They are passionate about their ideals, but private as well; few people understand the depth of the INFP’s commitment to their beliefs.
Wha -- who's there?Â
Well, I am very flattered to hear that. And yes, we may not know each other too well, but I can assure you that I can be trusted.
This may come across as crass -- I'm told that can happen sometimes -- but I, by no means, am trying to be offensive. May I ask how you're so sure you can be trusted? It seems an awfully big order.
Your secret is safe with me, don’t worry.
You're the person I actually believe would keep a secret. I don't know why I'm really saying that because we don't know each well enough. I'm hoping I can trust your face and my gut.
"Yeah, of course. I promise, and I’ve never broken a promise to you, have I, Andromeda?" he told her seriously without missing a beat as she extended her pack of fags to him. "Actually, I’d rather have this one," and then without further words, he just plucked the stick between her lips. He put it between his own mouth and smoked it with a grin, making sure to blow the smoke far from her direction.
"Oh, and just one won’t do, by the way," he grinned wider as he snatched the pack from her hands and pocketed them quick. "Thank you for the pack of smokes, Andy. You. Are. The. Best." He winked at her, knowing that any second now, she’d cotton on to what he had just done. He knew for a fact that if he told her that was harmful to her and the baby, she wouldn’t listen and would just argue. So, instead, James just robbed her of the chance to.
"You would never break a promise to anyone, would you, James? What would make me any different?" she said as he continued being his snarky self, taking the smoke from her lips. Before she knew it, he went for her pack, she half laughed, "Hey, what are you -- ?" Catching his wink, she realized what he was trying to do and slinked back, smile slowly turning to thought.
"You know, hardly anyone knows there may even be the chance of --" she cut herself off, the thought of saying the words out loud seemed impossible. "Look, James, I don't even know if it's true. Could you keep the possibility to yourself?"
Good, and I will certainly do so. I have no doubt the help will be welcome though. Andromeda right?
Thank you. And yes, Andromeda. Andromeda Tonks.
