Alec likely shouldn’t have been showing his face anywhere near the Rabbits after the fiasco that was his confrontation with Boo, but it wasn’t in his nature to tuck his tail between his legs and hide as he licked his wounds. Most were content with running and that was peachy by him, but a little embarrassment wasn’t about to ruin his life. In fact, Alec Blanchard was known for offending at least one person at least once a day by shit spilling from his unfiltered mouth or it wouldn’t be a normal week for him. He never considered someone else’s feelings before speaking, he didn’t even always care what he said set others off.
And maybe it was a little more shameless that he called off work to specifically attend this party. Alec wasn’t there for the engagement aspect, Aspen was fine, the Rabbits were fine, and Avery was certainly Avery, but he grabbed any chance to socialize and drink like there was no tomorrow. It hadn’t been long for Alec to grab a woman’s fancy standing at the gates of a house who chose the confident route by striking conversation. The two were pulled away from the main gatherings to instead enjoy the other’s company along the side of the house where prying eyes were supposed to avoid. Just when he thought the hot and heavy session was about to take the next level, Alec heard approaching steps damper the mood. The man groaned a little, moving away from the blonde he was making out with. “Come on, go find your own lip-locking spot. This one’s taken.”
