Lee was the better one out of the two of them when it came to this, why she didn’t want to have kids was beyond him. Made his entire thing laughable because Charles had always wanted kids and now realized what a great failure he was at this. “Brianna should not have taste at this young. She should just sleep, eat and poop. It’s suppose to be easy,” he had raised Lee since their parents had been asshats from the start, Mother always screwing the pool boy and father dying due to cancer too early. He walked over to Brianna as he took her out of the high chair cradling in his arms, “Not yet. Think she is just proving that she managed to get the whining thing from her mother.” A roll of the eye was followed by the comment, Jennifer really did stick it to him; had a baby and then fucking died.
“That’s what they tell you to get you to have kids. But children are so much more complex then that, brother.” Children were actually quite fascinating, and while most like to paint them black and white, it was truly not that simple. Brown eyes followed her brother as he picked his daughter up from her high chair, the little girl was quieting down, but still rather fussy. This, however, didn’t mean that Lee missed the way the little girl clung to her father. Charles was a lot of things, and while she knew he didn’t think himself the best at this, he was still better than most. He stayed for his daughter, when no one else. Same way he did for her, and considering that she’d say that she turned out pretty well, Bri was in more than good hands. Lee scoffed as he brought up his ex, the disgust upon her dark features hard to miss. “Screw her.” Maybe it was wrong to speak ill of the dead, but Lee had made it rather clear in the past just how much she disliked Jennifer. From day one. Turns out? She was right. She was always right. “Does she have a temperate? There’s a bad cold going around.”
