The lesser, the forgotten.
Александра Дрейкова
Name: Aleksandra Dreykov(a)
Alias: Unknown
Date of Birth: XX/XX/XXXX
Status: Alive
Affiliation(s): Red Room (former)
[Unknown] (current)
Thunderbolts (potentially)
Family: Dreykov, father (deceased)
Antonia Dreykov, older sister (deceased?)
Personality: Described as aloof around strangers, or people she is not particularly close with. Often sarcastic and uncaring, but can be softened by the right people. Not necessarily uptight, but certainly loosens up after a few drinks.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~BACKGROUND~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Aleksandra was born roughly five years after Antonia, before the incident. During this short period, she lived a relatively normal life. However, after Natasha's bomb nearly killed Antonia, Aleks' life changed. She was young and never quite understood why she couldn't see her sister after that. But what she did understand was that by going to the "doctor" she would be helping Antonia. How? She didn't know. Dreykov would never tell her that her body was being used, and so she eventually figured it out on her own when she was older. They were using her. Taking subtle bits and pieces. Anything to help piece Antonia back together, but also in the event that she required future patching. Even after learning, she didn't request for the surgeries to stop... not that that request would be accepted anyway. In the back of her mind she knew it was wrong, but another part of her was overwhelmed by the idea that something further might happen to Antonia if she didn't keep contributing. Because of this decision, Aleks began to undergo training akin to the widows. By maintaining a similar physique, she could provide better matches for Antonia, despite being younger. Aleks was subjected to less field work in order to keep herself in better shape for potential surgeries, but her performances were on par with many of the regular widows.
After the Red Room was brought down, Aleks was briefly taken in by Melina, as she was still young. In the years after this, Aleks seemed to fade into obscurity, though every so often, traces of her could be found.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~PRESENT~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Aleks makes a resurgence into the world following the events of Thunderbolts, and the way she is presented changes depending on if Antonia is alive or not.
If Antonia is dead, Aleks is found by Valentina and is eventually manipulated into joining the New Avengers, as a replacement for the absence of her sister. However, Aleks holds a deep grudge against Ava for killing her sister. She tolerates her for the sake of mission work, but is not intent on any sort of bond beyond reluctant co-workers. Aleks finds a bit of solace in Yelena, the two bonding and finding common ground on the aspect of losing a sister.
If Antonia is alive, having survived Ava's gunshot, Aleks is different. Aleks reaches out to Antonia, having heard about what happened in the OXE Vault. Antonia's memory is fuzzy about Aleks, and she has no idea of the sacrifices Aleks had priorly made for her in the Red Room. Due to this, she finds the idea of Aleks being attached and often physically present around her, odd.
