I saw a sad facebook post from the gay bookstore back in Ann Arbor where I used to live about how they hadn’t sold any books that day so I went on their online store and bought a couple, and while you don’t get #deals like elsewhere online, I’d love it if y’all would consider buying your next gay book from them instead of like, Amazon.

Can i note that, in addition to being beautiful there is a poetic practicality to the cone/ovoid shapes since in a arid environment, it massively decreases surface area and allows less sunlight to hit the tops of the buildings and therefore keeps the insides cooler, while the circular floor plan makes it more efficient to heat during cold nights

“The statue was originally a commission for Geefs’ younger brother Joseph, who completed it in 1842 and installed it the following year. It generated controversy at once and was criticized for not representing a Christian ideal.The cathedral administration declared that “this devil is too sublime.” The local press intimated that the work was distracting the “pretty penitent girls” who should have been listening to the sermons.” [x]

This is really the same problem Milton had in “Paradise Lost.” I call it the “oh shit, Lucifer is way more interesting than Adam and Eve” conundrum. Except in this case it’s “oh shit, Lucifer is way hotter than the good angels.” XD
