it was rare for cillian to be home on a sunday night. most of his nights were spent at the crab shack washing dishes until his fingers were all pruney, but tonight he actually had a night off. problem was, he’d forgotten to make plans, so he’d resulted to camping out on the living room floor and smoking some weed while he waited for his cousin to keep him company after her shift was over. “no, but i was just about to die from boredom,” he complained, head popping up behind the couch to greet her. “how’s business?” 

Juliet rolled her eyes at hearing his voice, but the ghost of a tiny smile played on her lips as she saw the little envelopes that were on the door: just the usual nonsense. “Boring. Only funeral arrangements todays, what is always a way to lighten the mood” Her voice was full of sarcasm as the girl followed her cousin’s voice, finding him with weed. “You don’t look that bored to me” She raised one eyebrow at him, but offered her hand so she could pass the joint.

He knew what he had to do to apologize. That meant he’d have to deal with Juliett, a thorn in his side. No pun intended. He wouldn’t admit it but he liked his banter with J. “Not lost,” He responded as he walked more into the shop, “How can you deal with this smell all day long?” The flower smell would drive him nuts. “It’s like a mix of wax and I dunno, just doesn’t smell good.” He began to walk towards some bouquet, wondering how overly priced it was. “Do you have any flowers that pretty much say ‘sorry I fucked your sister’?” 

He had been in the shop for less than a minute and her patience was already gone. “I hardly think you know what actually smells good, with all the grease up on your nose the entire day” He always looked like a sort of disaster, and for what was coming out of his mouth, he was one. “I’m sure they would feel much better if you let them punch you in the face rather than buy them flowers, but what do I know?” Did he really did that? In any way, J supposed this was  business and she didn’t have anything else to do. “Do you even have any idea what colors do they like?”
