She's from an all-girls spacefaring insectoid race cakked Kinki that likes to collect alien specimens to show off among themselves. The species have a cast system where the rare 4-armed girls are considered aristocracy and the 2-armed girls are serfs.

The new fad is to collect species that look almost sentient, customize them and set them loose into simulations of their habitat for their own amusement.

This one got a lot of praise for finding a planet with a race that makes the perfect pets. It's just around the corner, on the third planet of that dinky dwarf star.
