Hi! I'm Diego Alejandro, but you can call me Alex ✦ I go by he/they.
Feel free to send me asks! I also take requests!
I'm a native Spanish speaker, and my English spelling is pretty poor, so if I ever say something weird, that's probably why. I use a translator most of the time when writing, but I'm pretty good at reading English.
My content is going to be mainly ATLA. I don't know for how long, but I hope it lasts a long time. I recently discovered that I absolutely love Jet and his not-so-big fandom, so I'll probably be posting about him, Zuko, and Jin pretty often, whether it's ship-related or not.
I'm also kind of a multishipper. I respect canon, and I'm not here to argue against any canon relationship; I just enjoy fanon content, and I might make some myself whenever I feel like it. If you're only here to hate on ships or characters, this probably isn't the place for you.
I also have OCs, so maybe I'll post about them someday.
★ Everyone who knows me says I'm neurodivergent, and I believe the same, but I'm not in a good position to get a diagnosis. If I ever joke about things related to neurodivergence, please trust that I do so from an informed perspective, with the same sense of community and understanding that someone with a diagnosis might have. ★
It was supposed to be one of the first things I posted on my blog, but I wanted to add that little watermark thing I have, and ended up forgetting about it.
I like how it turned out, though you can definitely tell it was my first digital drawing of Zuko (or at least the first one I actually rendered? I don't remember).
This post is actually pretty funny to me, because I deal with more or less the exact opposite of this. I don't currently find myself in any environment where I have a strict need to use formal language or sound professional, and yet I still like doing it. So I find myself having to throw in little stars or exclamation marks so I don't come across the wrong way.
People call me “ChatGPT” pretty often, and I've honestly lost count of how many people were intimidated by me at first because of the way I speak and my good spelling. It usually only lasts until they realize I'm just a dumbass with an unnecessarily extensive vocabulary.
@x1ri Thanks for pushing me to post Zuko too! Your comment made me go back and fight with the drawing again, and it turns out his scar was what looked wrong to me. Once I fixed it, I made peace with how he looks.
I'm sure it must be hilarious to hear me every time I draw Zuko, since I struggle with him a little. I've been on calls with friends while drawing him, and every now and then they hear me muttering: “Gosh! Why are you so deformed, my son?”.
A few days ago, I posted the drawing of Jet because I thought what my friend did to him was really funny, but it was actually part of a set of three drawings I made as references for drawing Jin, Jet, and Zuko. I decided to post the one of Jin too—she looks cute—but I'm still debating whether to post Zuko's because he turned out a little weird.
Lazy-ass drawing just to express the thought I had of Zuko having Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD).
A type of depression related to changes in the seasons.
I like to think of it as something relatively common among benders, and that it would have been especially intensified during the time he spent in exile, as he became hyper-aware of how far away from home he was.
Maybe I'll draw something more specifically about that soon, but I want to finish some of the other drawings I have waiting first.
Thanks for posting this, you gave me a perfect excuse to draw Jetko! ⏤͟͟͞͞☆
I saw the post just eight minutes after it was published, and I can't even describe how embarrassingly fast I ran to draw this. I didn't even interacted with the post because I didn't wanted to lose my motivation.
I stayed up way too late working on it, and I probably would've finished it at night if I weren't the kind of person who can't function after staying up late. I ended up passing out halfway through. I'm pretty sure this isn't how swords work, or light, or... pretty much anything in this drawing, honestly. But my brain is tired enough and sleep-deprived enough that I'm willing to let it slide without overthinking it too much.
There's something about Jet fans' dedication that gives me this almost unhealthy urge to keep feeding them with more content. I've never felt this way about any character or fandom before.
To be honest, I've never really been part of a fandom where I actually interacted with other people. I usually just locked myself away, drew nonstop, and kept myself company. Finding Tumblr has made me reconnect with a feeling that had been lost, wandering somewhere for a very long time.
I don't usually headcanon characters as trans, so I'd never really seen Jet that way. But today the idea of him being FtM crossed my mind, and I couldn't stop thinking about it until I drew him.
I'm not entirely sure how large his chest would be if he had a female body, but I'm pretty sure he'd use bandages as a form of binding—which, by the way, is a very unsafe method that you should never try! This drawing depicts an unhealthy way of binding, and doing so can lead to serious long-term consequences.
This was kind of an attempt to draw a couple of @0bscvr1ty headcanons, but it didn't turn out quite the way I wanted;#;#;. It was supposed to have him sitting on a tree branch, but by the time I was already pretty far into the drawing, I realized I had no idea how to draw a branch from that perspective. So now he's sitting on some random floating log instead, lmao.
I left this drawing unattended in a Discord server and my friend completely ruined it. Every time I open my gallery, he's staring back at me, It is kind of creepy.
Do you guys have any Jet headcanons? I tried my best, and I only could thought about those freckles on his nose.
