Yesterday, Wednesday, PH replied to this post of mine, where an anon accused her of doxxing a staff member. In her own words:
I’ve never doxxed anyone, unless “saying the name of a person who has already disclosed their name publicly” now counts as a doxxing. I have yet to see anyone say whom I specifically doxxed, or what information I supposedly leaked about them.
First, a thank you to the two anons who sent me asks about this. I wouldn't have found this by myself.
Here are some of the anonymous messages sent to me:
as for the admin she doxxed, it was dexanote. she'll deny it but i saw it happen in the kf thread. it was technically accidental, in a way, just cause she only shared the doc for other reasons, but it happened.
yeah, she's already denied the dexanote thing i mentioned earlier in that first ask post you had. it's in the kiwifarms thread; someone literally made a post saying "hahaha looked up and got some funny results looking for that name." she knows what the truth is, and if she's gonna lie, then i think that's all the less reason to trust her.
just took a second to look. the dexanote thing is on page 86 of the scp kiwifarms thread.
After I got that tip about KiwiFarms, I went back into the forum page to double check this myself. To protect Dexanote's identity, I won't be spreading around the link to this page. Even if you find the link to this page, part of their name has been blacked out. Please respect Dexanote's privacy by not digging deeper for their identity.
On February 20th, PH posted links to two different Google Docs created by the staff of the site. One is irrelevant to the doxxing. The other is a copied chat log from the Internet Relay Chat (the IRC, which is basically Discord but somewhat lamer), where several admins were discussing a user named Metaphysician. I'm not very familiar with this situation, but it's also not what I'm focusing on at the moment. I'll look into that situation later and make another post if it's anything relevant.
The doxxing comes from that Google Docs about the chat log (the "staff document" that PH is referencing). Presumably, after holding that conversation in the IRC and copying the conversation to the Google Doc, several member of the staff used the Google Docs feature that allows them to make comments on parts of the document. With this feature, you comment using the email address you're currently logged into, and the name that shows up is whatever name/identity is associated with that email.
For example, I have an email account I use for social media like this blog which utilizes my name, Dizzy. If I made a comment on a Google Docs while logged into this email, the comment would list "Dizzy" as the writer. Furthermore, by clicking on the comment to expand it, you can see the commenter's full email address.
Most of the staff members who commented on that document used their SCP pseudonyms, like Zyn Kiryu. Dexanote, however, appeared to be using an email linked to his real name.
Since PH shared this document, anyone using that thread at the time would have been easily able to get on that document and view Dexanote's full name. Actually, that's exactly what they did.
One user on KiwiFarms, Lil' Misogynist, wrote:
Noting that the document has already been deleted and staff are viewing it. I got to work as quickly as I could archiving staff comments and I saved 9 of them. ████████ is most likely Dexanote. The rest should be obvious.
Another user, ToS confirmed that the name (which I personally blacked out for privacy purposes) is the real name of Dexanote, further writing:
████████ is Dexanote and a quick Google search is pretty entertaining.
I remembered that PH claims that she hasn't doxxed anyone because their information was already publicly available. I don't know whom she was referring to when saying this. This is the only doxxing claim other than DJKaktus that I'm aware of, so I looked into it. Considering the forum users here treat this as new information, I checked to see if Dexanote's real name can be found anywhere else, either in the SCP Wiki or a related site. What I found is no, Dexanote's identity was not already publicly available.
In conclusion, PH's actions directly led to Dexanote's real name and email address getting leaked on a site that has a reputation for harassment and slander. Doxxing Dexanote doesn't seem to have been her intentions, BUT.
The very next post after the one that ToS made confirming Dexanote's identity, was a post by PH. There is NO WAY that she missed several members of the forum discussing Dexanote's identity. Her desperation to find allies in the KiwiFarms thread actively and unjustly harmed a person in real life. She has either been lying, or she missed one of the most obvious privacy violations I've seen in my time in this community.
