Employees at PP are some of the hardest-working, most dedicated people Iāve ever met in my life. They work under frantic circumstances and with limited resources, but they provide health care access and education to those who need it the most.
Comradery and moral should be built during team meetings. During our team meetings, we had an opportunity to shout-out your teammates for the good things youāve noticed them do. If you get into the mindset of looking for positive things to highlight about your co-workers, youāll have less time to harp on their shortcomings.Ā
People are shitty sometimes. I already know that trolls existed in the world, but I didnāt realize the lengths that people go to troll. Thatās what happens when people donāt have all the facts and base their opinions on hearsay.
Someone is actually making penis stickers to deal with condom-wearersĀ ānot feeling anything.ā The company says these stickers donāt prevent pregnancy or STDsāthen what is the point?Ā I refuse to provide the name of this company, so if youāre curious, Google it for yourself.
WeWork office spaces are fabulous! Free beer on tap, weekly events that bring in creatives and businesses from the community, professional development events...wonderful amenities!
There is an extensive amount of birth control information to be learned. There areĀ short-acting reversible contraceptionĀ (the pill, patch, ring, and shot), long-actingĀ reversible contraception (the IUD, implant), and permanent options (tubal ligation, transcervical sterilization such as Essure, and male vasectomy). I learned so much.
Overall, the experience was great! I got to see inside a controversial organization that gets a bad rep, unjustifiably. I did work that was relevant to what I want to do as a career, and I met some wonderful people that will likely be great resources in the future. I will miss working there. On to the next venture!
