Arthur: Okay, so you're my servant now. It's not really that important of a position, just like, idk, make sure you bring me my breakfast on time
Merlin: I would die for you, I would kill for you, I'd give up my humanity and become a living weapon for you, I would sit by your grave for over a millennium, awaiting your return-
Arthur: but would you bring me breakfast on time?
Merlin: Well that's asking a bit much, don't you think?
Cats are great because they just accept that being Bothered by you is like. Part of the social contract.
Unfortunately this contract is reciprocal and they will call due when you are trying to play computer games specifically

Merlin 2x04 Lancelot and Guinevere
i want to take this moment to appreciate the way that the actors say their lines in such comedic ways
Obsessed with the way Vicodin is such a huge piece of symbolism in House’s relationships. Like. Cuddy left him because he relapsed. She told him that he took the Vicodin to avoid pain, because pain means you care and he wasn’t willing to do that. We’ve seen throughout the show how House’s emotional pain manifests as physical, increasing whenever he feels guilt or anger or sadness or fear. Keep in mind this was while Cuddy was worried she might have cancer.
And then Wilson ACTUALLY gets cancer, and House treats him at his apartment, and he feeds him Vicodin. Because Wilson is in pain, and he’s always the one who cares so much, and it’s House’s turn to take that away. And House doesn’t take any Vicodin. He feels the pain so Wilson’s is lessened, because he CARES. They make a point to show that he is willing to care, willing to take on that burden for him.
House will do anything to stop the pain, unless it makes Wilson suffer.
Is this your ship?
Do you ever stop and think about how lonely must Arthur have felt before meeting Merlin?
He had no one he could really call friend for years and then BAM one day he meets this strange, cocky, peasant boy who just calls him names regardless of his rank and like in just one day he gains a loyal servant, a best friend, a soulmate, the other side of his coin, his savior, his first true supporter and the love of his life.
Damn, the love he must feel for Merlin.
its definitely permanent marker
me, continuing to look at a screen despite having a headache: OUCH my brain… OUCH my brain… OUCH my brain… OUCH my brain… OUCH my brain… OUCH my brain… OUCH my brain… OUCH my brain…
sick and fucking tired of parallels actually house finds out wilson is donating his liver and refuses to attend the surgery until last minute and then he stands up in the observation deck and is the last thing wilson sees before he goes under cut to cuddy possibly has cancer house refuses to attend the surgery until the last minute and then he stands up in the observation deck and is the last thing cuddy sees before she goes under like why did they do that why say this to me if you want your show to be straight?????
i actually hate house and wilson like what do you mean you talk about railing each other constantly and you live together and you’re the only people you want during the most important times of your lives and you canonically say i love you but when one of you is dying you refuse to say it unless they try everything imaginable to survive and you quite literally can’t live without each other and you nearly die multiple times because of it and you save yourselves for each other and you run away from everyone and everything to ride off in the sunset together and live out the last days of your lives just with each other. what do you fucking mean.
underrated fact: everyone makes fun of house for only having one friend but wilson is literally the same. he’s either flirting with someone, which is surface level socialization, talking to colleagues or patients, which again is surface level, or he’s with house. unless you count his wives who didn’t even know him.
nobody KNOWS wilson but house. we know that because everyone has such a false sense of who he is. house is the only person who can see who wilson is when he’s not putting on a face.
bonus: any real conversation he has with someone who isn’t house, is about house.
“house has no friends haha” “anyway wanna catch a movie later otherwise i’ll just go to my hotel room and talk to no one”
my favorite unhinged behind the scenes clips from the first few seasons of house (inspired by this post)
I'm just thinking about how David Shore and Hugh Laurie talked about Wilson and House's relationship as definitely romantic in their GQ interview.
David Shores said, "I love that we started the series with House and Wilson, and we ended it with House and Wilson. Ending with a non-traditional romantic story is atypical, and that exploration of male friendship is something you don’t see on TV very often. You see a lot of wingmen giving each other crap, and House most certainly did that. But, the idea of guys giving each other crap who loved each other was new."
This is the same interview that Hugh Laurie said, "Way before this idiot word “bromance” was coined—I wish people wouldn’t jam words together like that, there are enough words—I think it’s true that there was a great sort of weird romantic love between House and Wilson. I suppose that was the show’s central core relationship, and it was irresistible to me. I certainly did grow… I’d stop short of saying romantically involved with Robert Sean Leonard, but we became very close and enjoyed each other’s company. He made me laugh an indecent amount. I think the writers too enjoyed writing that relationship. Shore, in particular, had a real knack for it. There was a scene in which House has been suspended from the hospital, so he’s taken the role of the housewife in Wilson’s apartment. Wilson gets home one day, and House has got a basket of laundry, and he says something like, “Your shirts aren’t dry yet, but you’ve got plenty of underwear.” Shore changed the line to “We’ve got plenty of underwear,” in what I thought was one of the funniest rewrites you could possibly have in the smallest number of letters."
I genuinely take this as them saying that Hilson is canon.
