am LOVING hair extensions! This method of application is incredibly quick, gorgeous, and low maintenance.
They’re called “Hott Heads!”
Lady gaga wears them, too!
A full head of extensions can cost anywhere from 400 and up, depending on length, color, and amount needed.
Above, is one of my clients, Lauren.
She had brown hair before she saw me, and now she has long glorious blonde locks!

LONG HAIR, DO CARE!
“So my hair doesn’t grow. Like at all. It gets to a certain point, and then stops. I try cutting it, and even washing it really good. I can never find any conditioner that helps and I don’t have much money to spend on my hair. What do I do?” -Phoebe
Phoebe is not the only one with this problem. Actually, I get this question on a DAILY basis. Your diet is actually a HUGE factor in the health and growth of your Hair, Skin, and Nails. Protein is essential to hair health and growth. Your hair is made of protein, and being deficient in protein will not only slow down your growth, but could also cause hair loss. The best way to get a lil’ extra Protein in your diet is toss a “Whey boost” in your next jamba juice! Its practically tasteless when mixed in.
Speaking of juice, another key factor in your hair heath & growth is Vitamin C. We all know we can get Vitamin C from Oranges, but you can also find high levels of the goods in Green Peppers and lemons! You should be taking in about 1000 to 3000 mg a day! Get on that!
While Vitamin C is extremely important, we simply cannot forget B vitamins & Iron. I recommend picking up some Biotin at your local drug store. B3 will greatly increase the blood flow & circulation to the scalp, which in its self with help stimulate the growth! Iron is also great for increasing circulation to the scalp. Iron is found in Raisins, Liver (ew!) and apricots.
You must remember to wash it all down with WATER. Run your fingers through your hair, c’mon, do it! Does your hair feel dry or brittle? Go drink some water! The hair shaft is comprised of one quarter water. Everyone is always drinking sodas, juice, vodka„„ Oops? Is that just me? If you want to see REAL results, Drink at least 4 to 8 cups of water a day.
Although you may not want hair like the pictured above, you can get close to it if you pair good hair care products and good routines, with a healthy diet.
You can do it, I beWeave in you! xoxox

Box dye DEATH!
Oh box color, how i despise thee. With your deceiving names like "Soft golden blonde" and "Medium brown." From my experience, half the time the "golden blonde" comes out orange as can be, and more than once i've seen medium brown turn into jet black. Liars! You are endangering the health of our ladies and men, while lying to them all!
The allure of our favorite celebrities twirling and whirling their pretty hair around in circles, while plugging the latest concoction these companies have mixed up in their labs, it can get us.
Think for just one second here: Do you REALLY think Eva Longoria goes to the grocery store, sits in her bathroom with gloves staring into her mirror while she screams "Can you tell me if i got it on the back?" Oh and after that she twirls around on her all white spinny chair and admires her even and perfectly soft hair.
Darling, no.
Although hair is my livelihood, I have never, nor will i ever, feel threatened by the box dye, and here is why.
The box dye is not known for its "care" for the integrity of the hair. When a stylist formulates your color, there are many factors taken into consideration, including skin tones, scalp sensitivity, underlying tones, health of the hair, etc. Box dye has more of a "one size does not fit all, but we'll sell it anyways" attitude. For example, in my previous post, i broke down the many steps & formulas I used to take black hair up to brown. There is absolutely no way a box could have told you any of that. I asked my client what she had planned to do before seeing me. She said "Bleach it, and throw a medium brown box on it..." I shudder.
After overlapping box dye after box dye, the hair becomes flat, dull, and lifeless. The ends split easier, and your hair tangles worse than it ever had before. Box dyes are notorious for being ridden with Metallic Dye. The colors are produced by a reaction between metallic salts and the sulfur in keratin. Okay, long story short, Metallic Dyes come in and react with a chemical inside your hair, and it turns your protein brown. It doesnt go into the cuticle like oxidizing colors do, so it tends to build up over time. This build up can cause the hair to feel dry, and tangled. If the build up continues long enough, the hair will simply break off.
Individuals who use Metallic Dyes for prolonged periods of time, can experience hair loss, breakage, lead poisoning, headaches, and scalp irritations, chemical burns, and more... Sounds fun, right?
Almost half of the women who come into the salon I work in, are coming for color correction. They thought they could box-it, but it simply did not work at all. Color correction in the salon can cost anywhere from 75-150 dollars PER HOUR! Save yourself the trouble, the money, (and the pain, and ruined hair) and find a reasonably priced salon who can meet your needs, and protect your hair.
Regardless of how "safe" and "effective" these box dyes say they are, they are still CHEMICALS. All though they are not professional colors, they should still be handled with great caution and skepticism.
BeWEAVE me, guys.
IT.IS.NOT.WORTH.IT! XOXO
