you ever think about how John inherited Arthur's journal. You ever think about reading the thoughts and experiences of your dead big brother in his own handwriting. You think he cried when he read it. You think he had to take breaks because it was too hard. You think he laughed through his tears when he read something silly. Do. Do you cry about john and arthur every day

when you pissed off the good daddy...
I have this headcanon that because both Abigail and John were first time parents, Arthur stepped up and showed them the basics. Abigail would be impressed and question if he had experience with babies. Arthur would then fall quiet and probably change the subject. John would see how well Arthur is with his baby that he feels even more pressure and doubt about being a dad (also with the nagging possibility that he may not be the actual father of Jack).

you know what really hurts me? the way that rdr2 perfectly encapsulates one of the biggest questions victims of emotional abuse ask themselves when they realize they're being abused: 'have they always been like this and i just never noticed or did they change at some point?'
we don't see dutch pre-rdr2. we only see him after his downward spiral has already begun, so that leaves us to wonder how long he was like this. when did he stop being the dutch that arthur remembers? the one that took from the rich to give to the poor?
was dutch ever that person? were his intentions ever pure or was he just fueling his narcissism by becoming this 'savior' to the outcasts of society?
arthur's situation/relationship with dutch is so unique and yet such a relatable conflict and that hurts me deeply
