Watched lashings at 11 pm with @darcydoescosplay and we had 5 million thoughts
During Spaceport Mahon, Tim looks visibly uncomfortable when Jonny says it's time for his story. in Lashings, Nastya looks miserable the entire time during Cyberian Demons. Need a fic of those two commiserating about being uncomfortable/HATING their backstory songs bc it brings back bad memories while Jonny and Ashes and even Brian to an extent don't really mind theirs.
Carmilla calling Nastya Anastasia during arguments even when she knows Nastya doesn't like being called that name anymore.
Nastya hates doing Cyberian Demons, but is comforted by the fact that Jonny usually played Aloshya, so she's got someone in this with her, but in Lashings Aloshya is played by the toy soldier, who she's known for all of 20 minutes. She doesn't have someone to comfort her as she relives the worst day of her life.
Carmilla throwing out "I gave you eternal life, I gave you infinity" during an argument would be devastating.
Jonny and TS bringing Tim back from the moon war, Jonny begging Carmilla to mechanize him, saying something along the lines of "Everyone is gone" which reminds Nastya of what Carmilla said to her.
It's possible everyone on the crew understands at least a bit of Japanese, bc in Lashings Carmilla and Scuzz are talking in Japanese and Ashes seems to understand what they're saying.
We were also toying with the idea that Jonny could have gotten mechanized after Nastya. Assuming it wasn't right away, Jonny just has to have gotten it by the time they got the aurora back but who knows if that's before or after they get Nastya. So imagine Nastya being older than Jonny at the time of her mechanization, but Jonny ages past her before he gets his, so he claims he's older too. The siblings ever.
Raphaella, who sort of but very barely knew Doctor Carmilla, talks about tinkering with/upgrading her mechanism. Everyone else in earshot (minus Marius and TS) get really nervous for a minute.
Carmilla performed lots of experiments on the toy soldier who didn't really see what all the fuss was about compared to everyone else because Carmilla would say 'this won't hurt' before she did anything to TS took it as an order and would just not pretend to be hurting.
We were also fairly certain that Carmilla wrote cyberian demons based off what Nastya told her and what she knew of the situation at the time, so it's not entirely accurate to what actually went down, artistic interpretation. So, imagine your mom who you don't have the best relationship with, is like hey here's a script you're gonna roleplay the worst day of your life. Yeah, you're gonna be yourself, i'm going to be the tutor who kills the only person you've ever really bonded with, your brother figure is going to be the person you loved who dies. Cool? Cool.
Thinking too that out of everyone, Jonny probably has the most sympathy for Nastya when it comes to her past. Because he was either still mortal or newly immortal, and that sort of detached amusement for tragedy hadn't quite set in yet.
