“Yes. I want more when I’m like twenty-seven and married.” Rosie told him. “I don’t know, I can’t believe we actually made this.” She laughed, watching Alex. “Do you want to hold her?”

"You shouldn't think that much in the future, it'll stress you." Alex said with a shrug. "Like who knew sex could do that." He joked. "Oh uh, I don't know if I should... I might drop her or something."

“I guess, but I want another kid or two when I get older so I’ll just deal with it.” Rosie told him as she held Allison. “Hi.” She grinned, looking at the wide awake baby. “She has your eyes.”

“But you fib.” Rosie interjected. “Eh, I guess it isn’t that bad, I just have to have a c section every time I get pregnant.” When she said that, the nurse strolled in with the baby bed with Allison in it. Rosie looked over and smiled, hearing the nurse ask if she wanted to hold her and she nodded, the baby soon being gave to her.“

“But not a lot.” Alex retorted. “But that sounds like it’ll be torture if you have any more kids...” He trailed, looking over as they rolled something in, him soon realizing it was Allison. As they handed her to Rosie, he watched silently with a small smile on face.

Rosie shook her head and smiled. “I never look great though…” She trailed. “It does not. There’s countless reasons. It could be because of my age, my disease, or even the fact we had sex the other night.”

Alex started chewing on his lip out of habit, glancing around the room. “Nope, you always look great.” He stated. “Yes it does. Your disease? The fuck kind of disease do you have? Yeah, sorry if that was the reason but you’re the one that came onto me.”

“That’s a lie.” Rosie scoffed. “I forgot the term, honestly, but where my back is weird and my hip bones are too small I can’t really push a baby out of my vagina. I was hormonal.”

"How many times do I have to say this to people, I don't lie." Alex stated. "That's sounds-- hurtful? Sure, blame it on the hormones."

Rosie shook her head and smiled. “I never look great though…” She trailed. “It does not. There’s countless reasons. It could be because of my age, my disease, or even the fact we had sex the other night.”

Rosie looked at him and chuckled. “So, basically I look ugly all the time.” She stated with a sigh. “Oh, Allison should get to come home after a few days since she didn’t have much problems except with her weight and Jace will be in the NICU for a while because he needs a breathing ventilator.”

Alex rolled his eyes at her, sighing. “I never said that.” He laughed. “Really? Fucking hell Jace, you little weakling. So, are they both going to be okay or…?”

Rosie looked at him and raised an eyebrow. “You said I look like how I always do and with no makeup, being sweaty, and just having kids, I think I look pretty bad.” She said. “Hey, that’s your son. Yeah, they’ll be fine, it will just take time since they were born early.”

Alex groaned, pinching the bridge of his nose as he laughed. "I meant, you looked as great as you always do, is that better?" He asked. "Exactly, which gives me a right to say that. Why exactly were they born early anyways?"

Alex chuckled, shaking his head a little. “You look as great as you always do.” He assured her, going to sit in the chair next to her again.

Alex ended up on the other side of the room from her dad, leaning against the wall and bouncing up and down on his heel. After a little, he was told he could go back, making him nod and walk back into the room he had previously been in.

Rosie rubbed her eyes and ran her hand through her messed up hair. “Hey. God, I bet I look terrible right now.” She stated with a small laugh.

Alex chuckled, shaking his head a little. "You look as great as you always do." He assured her, going to sit in the chair next to her again.

Alex sat down in a chair, pulling out his phone before he felt someone sit beside him, making him look up and groan when he saw Rosie’s dad glaring at him. After being bombarded with a million questions, Alex just got up and went over to the nurse, asking if she’d heard anything about Rosie.

After the procedure was done, the doctor said there wasn’t much wrong with them except Jace’s breathing problems and the both of them being underweight. “Hey, could you send Alex in? He’s the one with the blonde hair, lip ring, tall, can’t miss him out there.” She said to the doctor and he nodded.

Alex ended up on the other side of the room from her dad, leaning against the wall and bouncing up and down on his heel. After a little, he was told he could go back, making him nod and walk back into the room he had previously been in.

“Why not babe?” Alex asked, a smile curling into his lips as he did. “Yeah alright, well I’ll be out here then.” He said, getting up and walking out to the waiting room.

“Because you know I hate that.” Rosie sighed. “Thank you.” She sighed, undergoing the terrible procedure. They didn’t put her to sleep for it but they shielded everything from her and numbed her so she might as well have been asleep.

Alex sat down in a chair, pulling out his phone before he felt someone sit beside him, making him look up and groan when he saw Rosie's dad glaring at him. After being bombarded with a million questions, Alex just got up and went over to the nurse, asking if she'd heard anything about Rosie.

“Well since you obviously prefer babe, I’ll just return to that.” Alex laughed, sighing when the doctor came in asking him to leave. “Do I have to?”

“No, no, please don’t.” Rosie pleaded, glaring at him. “Yeah, you have to, Alex. Unless you want to see me get cut open and watch my organs come out and get placed in a bowl.”

"Why not babe?" Alex asked, a smile curling into his lips as he did. "Yeah alright, well I'll be out here then." He said, getting up and walking out to the waiting room.

Alex groaned, throwing his head back. “Yeah? I called you Rose, is that a bad thing? Would you prefer to be called Rosabella?”

“No, I was just surprised. I’m using to hearing Rosabella or babe.” Rosie told him before seeing her doctor enter and say that Alex had to leave for her to have the babies.

"Well since you obviously prefer babe, I'll just return to that." Alex laughed, sighing when the doctor came in asking him to leave. "Do I have to?"

“Oh, well you’re welcome I guess.” Alex said, shrugging it off and not wanting to make a big deal of it. “That’s not fair. Please Rose, I’ll do everything else except change a diaper.”

Rosie rolled her eyes at him. “You have t — did you just call me something other than Rosabella? You called me something other than Rosie. This is a miracle.”

Alex groaned, throwing his head back. "Yeah? I called you Rose, is that a bad thing? Would you prefer to be called Rosabella?"

“What for?” Alex asked, furrowing his eyebrows in confusion. “But– they’re disgusting and I just don’t want to deal with them. Nope, I’ve changed my mind and I’m sticking to it.”

“For being here and changing her mind.” Rosie nodded, grabbing his hand. “You have to. If I have to, you have to. Then you’re changing diapers and that’s that. We’ll work you up from number one to number two.”

"Oh, well you're welcome I guess." Alex said, shrugging it off and not wanting to make a big deal of it. "That's not fair. Please Rose, I'll do everything else except change a diaper."

Alex returned her smile with a small one of his own. “Alright but I refuse to change diapers. I don’t know? I’m sorry?”

“Thank you.” Rosie said to him with a soft smile. “You’re changing diapers. I’m not gonna be around 24/7 and it’s a duty that comes with having kids. You’re still eligible to walk out though.”

"What for?" Alex asked, furrowing his eyebrows in confusion. "But-- they're disgusting and I just don't want to deal with them. Nope, I've changed my mind and I'm sticking to it."

Alex relaxed as she said she was okay, nodding but staying where he was. “I can try but no promises will be made. Yeah, no and no, I don’t know how to do any of that shit.”

Rosie looked at him and smiled up at him. “Okay, okay, I’ll teach you how once they get here. Ugh, why does this hurt so bad? Why did you put me through this torture?”

Alex returned her smile with a small one of his own. "Alright but I refuse to change diapers. I don't know? I'm sorry?"

Alex moved to her side as she groaned, raising her eyebrows as if to aka if she was okay. “Oh I know.” He told her. “As much as I’d like to see you try, I promise you I’ll try not to fuck up.”

Rosie let a smile appear on her face as he rushed to her side. “I’m fine, don’t worry.” She stated “Please don’t. Wait. Do you know how to change a diaper or feed a baby? Well, I’ll be feeding them most of the time so.”

Alex relaxed as she said she was okay, nodding but staying where he was. "I can try but no promises will be made. Yeah, no and no, I don't know how to do any of that shit."
