I don't consider myself an expert in face yoga but i've taken a few classes in the past and while my first intention was more about taking care of my skin, once i got up a "routine" it became about something else. I wrote routine like that because it's not that i do face yoga everyday at the same time but rather when i can remember :p Alot of us hold lots of tension in our face without even knowing it. There's who crunch or lift their forehead multiple times a day, who clenches their jaw or who tends to squeeze their eyes. Most of us do something with our face that builds up tension and sometimes this can even cause a head ache. It was during a night that i couldn't sleep that i had this revelation. The reason i couldn't sleep was because i felt like if i couldn't relax my face, specially my forehead. At this time i had been practising FY for a month or so and had started to become more aware of when my face was tensed up, so that evening while i layed there, i got the idea of doing a little FY which then made me fall asleep right after🙌. So today i don't really do it for my skin anymore but it's actually turned into real yoga where my intention is to release tension. Have you ever tried it? Write me a comment about your experience! Or let me know if you try it. This is one of those things that almost seemed insignificant or that seems like you understand all about it until you try it for a while. You can't know anything for sure unless you experience it first and i was really amazed about the awareness of my face that came with FY.
