I’m currently employed as a Pokémon hunter I catch (I don’t kill), and I’ve caught a high number My spread is diverse-- all types I respect And my basic rate, too, is 80 percent I studied at the lab that’s south of Route 3 Was taught by Prof. Oak, to some small degree But most of my knowledge I learned in the field: Walking through grass while I fished a great deal My license is good in the Kanto region I’ve earned six badges from gyms that I’ve beaten Though my grasp of OneNote and Excel’s not the best, I will note I excel at all things Pokédex I’ve had a few battles and evolved through disaster I’m a jack of all trades, on the pathway to master And I think all these skills in which I’m proficient is why I would make a good office assistant

Children raised on the digital streets-- just yesterday’s news <feed> on somebody’s screen roaming around from site to site lost in the search begging for a byte murdered by posts bleeding in stream and we quickly scroll on by...

My footsteps fail, my legs give out, my ankles cave beneath the weight The weight of fear, the weight of doubt, the weight of pain I cannot shake Why are the righteous made to suffer the grief the guilty ought to bear? There must be grace yet to discover for God’s own Son to not be spared You tell me I can walk on water when I can barely stand on land But it’s not earthly might You offer and I’m not held by human hands And so I step through shadows knowing Your will supports the path I tread and it’s Your sight which guides my going despite whatever lies ahead -- Please consider donating to a boy named Aaron, to have funds for surgery to remove a tumor from his leg.

It must have been dark the day you left this system for the next I cannot feel the things you felt or know which way you went But with you were our greatest dreams the dead of midnight stole Our wishes on our brightest star, reduced to a black hole I search the skies, but do not find an answer from beyond My eyes cry out to silence My heart knows you are gone The brightest black that swirled around you-- Was it peace you found? It must have been dark the day you left, as dark as it is now

Trust a person by how simply they smile If it’s small, they’re safe If it’s large, be wary People use mouths like decorative walls The grander the the show, the greater they bury We’re quicker than not to believe one’s bliss before we consider what pain is amiss A patch for a hole must be kept just as wide The “happiest” have the most to hide

He’s labeled as a robber because he wears a mask But really he’s a hero-- just look at how he acts: When digging through your garbage, he’s really saving food He guards your stoop and attic for pests who would intrude And while most would be sleeping, he battles crime by night He’s got an eye for trouble but seldom looks to fight Everyone has their heroes on which to shower praise Firemen are given cards and get to work short days Cops have good health benefits Nurses get balloons You wanna talk a thankless job? In the river of our rowing, we set sail with paddles each “Where” was not a place for knowing, just a station we would reach It was loose to take for granted water’s weight beneath the wood for we kept on, adrift, un-landed longer than it was for good I thought the river ran forever, ‘round the bends, in-finite wind But suddenly, it was September and all at once, there was no time And on the edge of Nature’s staircase, we could not drown the curtain’s calls We broke up in shrinking airspace in the thunder of the falls

Zeus would lie awake all night upon his thunderhead Turns out, a stormy cloud’s no good to make as someone’s bed Tossing and turning, rolling and reeling, he decided enough was enough So he went down to the mattress store to find some softer fluff First he tried the stratus line, but the thinness gave no comfort The cirrus kind had good support, but not much surface-cover Zeus noticed that the cumulus could be in better shape (But that is oft the way with clouds-- It’s not a “make or break”) The store had more variety and intermixed a few, including a cumulonimbus and a cirrostratus too But petrified at all the cost, Zeus bought a mattress drain for use with his existing cloud to let out all the rain That night old Zeus slept high and dry while those below were soaked But he put some stars beneath his pillow so those wet would have some hope Though Zeus’s bed, still not the best, was nothing like cloud 9 Zeus got good sleep that night for less-- and good sleep is divine!

When a shooting star dies (as they have a knack), the other stars grieve while gathered in black The Great bear howls Aquarius weeps and the Gemini cry each other to sleep A service is held for the star that had passed with each giving light on the life that had flashed And after the thoughts of its suns and starfishes, a new star is chosen to carry its wishes

People often daydream “Well when I get to Heaven...” as if it’s basic science what goes down must come up. I’ve always heard it said though that Heaven is where God lives which means He lets Himself in when he comes home from work But I don’t know the address to His place out in the universe How would one begin to find the front door to His home? It’s doubtful guards would simply let just anyone to come over I guess the important question is How much of you is Him?

I took a walk inside your shoes to see how they would fit It seemed that they had been well-used and seen the road a bit I went along the avenues where streets are evening-lit An aging pair, myself and you, your soles two parts of it The leather on the left had split The rubber needed glue Yet right before my feet could quit, I noticed something new By slipping on this old outfit, You slipped into my view And into step with your spirit, You’re walking with me too

You fell into a shallow pool diving for new earth We seem to say the world is cruel before it really hurts And I could see the panic start the way your pupils pled, Underneath your forehead marks and hair of cherry red I waded in with careful words “It’s going to be alright” My arms held gentle your concerns awakened by your flight And carrying you from depths divorced, I pledged upon the land: If I can not repair your force, I’ll find someone who can isfpprompts:  “Revisit your childhood. Fictionalize a memory that is significant to you.”

What’s in a name above all others? My brothers, what’s in a name? What’s in a name every working man utters and always is quick to proclaim? In a name we fight our holy wars In a name we place the church decor In a name we base a nation’s growth and bear false witness under oath With a name we curse with little purpose With a name we blame each life disturbance With a name we claim to speak for Heaven then act whatever way we reckon At your name it’s written seas may part At your name light overcomes the dark At your name it’s said each knee will bow-- but it’s just a word in our sentences now And the word became stone and fell beneath us And we retell its story, a story unholy and forgotten, Fools defacing truth.

We hold these foods to be self-evident that all foods are created edible, that they are endowed by their suppliers with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Succulence, and the pursuit of Healthiness.
