I'm from Eastern Kentucky, and just wanted to let you all know that I am safe from the floods. However, so many people in my town, including family and friends, have lost their homes. Many are missing, some deceased. I am so lucky to have my life and home but so many in my hometown and surrounding counties were not so lucky. This is fucking brilliant. Growing up in the south, this camo style was prevalent and an almost sure fire way to spot a homophobe from thirty yards. I love this because it feels… like a translation. Not an accusation, but a stark message to the boys in camo that they need to see this. These are their neighbors, brothers and sisters hiding from systemic oppression, suffering for it. It’s taking that message and putting it on what is arguably the calling card of their own repression.

This says, “It could be you. What if it was you? ”, instead of “it’s your fault. ”

That appeal to empathy using familiar, if conflicting, depictions of masculinity? That’s my shit. A+
