my roommate (and good friend) lowkey acts like my mum and it's killing me

I've always tiptoed around my mum if she's even a bit upset 'cause I'm afraid she gets angry at me and lowkey just kills me idfk

anyway my roommate's mood changes a lot during the day and you do not wanna be talking to her if she's not in the mood. and I don't mind that, I understand needing your own space etc but if she's upset and in the kitchen I highkey will not go there because of my childhood traumas of being in the way of a person who's upset

and the most annoying thing about this is that I'm so very happy to live on my own so I wouldn't feel so anxious all the time but dude...

I love her with all my heart, she's one of my best friends. when she's not angry, we get along great and we can honestly talk about anything. but this does kill me and makes me feel like I'm back at home

and also she's definitely not a morning person. she needs to drink coffee before talking to anyone – and I get that. but when we were on a roadtrip and I had to ask her about something (like if her bag was ready to go to the car) before having coffee she'd snap at me. dude I'm trying my best to avoid you in the mornings but I HAVE to know if I can take this in the car, we're leaving in ten and I'd like to pack the car
