he scoffed âwhat is your major?â he asked. he didnât know why he cared, usually he didnât but, it was conversationâ it was a distraction from everythingâ especially his own school work. âyeah, iâm hunterâ he greeted âi guess, fine? i donât really know what you want me to say.âÂ
Alex really wasnât trying to offend the kid, for once. She had recently come to the conclusion that maybe a few friends wouldnât hurt considering obviously there was no plans to have anyone special in her life right now. That just didnât seem to be in her books, but who knows. Though of course, sheâd grown hopeless about that sort of thing a long time ago. âBusiness management.â Alex answered with a shrug, sighing before sitting back in her seat. âIf I can ever get through this boring bookwork. I mean when will I ever need this crap?â she rolled her eyes, turning her full attention to the boy. âIâm Alex.â she said with a nod. âWeâre from two different worlds, but I was always curious about what itâs like on the other side.â she shrugged casually. âYou seem like much less of an asshole than your brother.â
hunterhollingsâ:
âreal originalâ he mumbled a reply as he glanced back at his book, trying to focus again. he was far less interested in the words on the page. he wanted to go home and play his video games or even hangout with tristan but he needed to put a little effort in. he sighed and looked back up at the older âwhatcha workin on?â he asked, trying a new thing where heâs being nice. must be tristanâs influence.Â
Alex laughed at his reply, flipping through a few more pages to find the right one. It was chaotic back at the apartment with both Spinner and Jay there. The library was the next best place to focus, though she was far from in the right mindset to do homework right now. Though if she wanted to graduate she knew sheâd have to force herself sometime. âStats homework. As if I would ever use them in real life. I mean really, why do I need this class to graduate.â she scoffed, leaning back in the chair. She took a closer look at the boy now, cocking a brow. âYouâre one of those Hollingsworth kids, arent you?â she never thought sheâd be sitting here talking to one of those kinds of kids, but life was funny and it had proven that lately. âHowâs life on the other side?â she asked, having come from a very different world than those kids had come form.Â

he was sat in the study hall of the newly refurbished college, his nose buried in a book. he had been kinda distracted lately so he really was trying to catch up on his studies, though his mind was wandering as his eyes scanned over the words but it did no good. he glanced up, brows furrowed âyou got a staring problem or something?â he questionedÂ
Alex cocked a brow, chuckling sharply. âNo, wasnât even looking at you.â she said, shaking her head and clutching her books to her chest as she moved to sit down at a nearby table. âNerds.â Alex scoffed, rolling her eyes as she set her books down in front of her. She glanced up at him for a moment, shaking her head again before she flipped to the page she had saved for her homework. âKidding. Iâm here to read too.âÂ

âyou ever see a really cute dog and just get sad because that happened to me and now i want to impulse buy a puppy,â the girl spoke with small pout
âCanât relate. Especially considering Iâve never had a puppy. I mean I guess theyâre kind of cute though. What college student can afford a puppy though? Weâre all broke. Well, except for the trust fund kids.â Alex replied, eyeing up the smaller girl.Â

Spinner: i know im a lil biased
Spinner: but my shift is boring
Spinner: and we got good coffee at the dot
Alex: well roomie I'm guessing this text was meant for one of your ladyfriends.
Alex: I mean, considering you see me almost every night and I'm not sure why you'd want to sit and drink coffee with me.
im-michaelamarieâ:
Iâm just gonna⊠go.Â
Smart choice, princess. Donât let the door hit you on your way or... or actually, let it.
im-michaelamarieâ:
It was suppose to be a complimentâŠÂ
What are you gonna do? Cry about it?Â
parker-arabellaâ:
âYou got me there Ill give you that,â She spoke with a chuckle, taking a drag off her lit cigarette, a habit she hated and knew she had to quit. She had started in high school, her first sign of anything resembling her mother in her eyes. But the action of moving her hand to her mouth and inhaling was just enough to keep her twitches at bay. Her hands always having to do something, it worked for her. She watched as Alex situated herself, taking a second to scan the admittingly beautiful woman before her, but their friendship was simple, nothing more nothing less. âWho cares is always the acceptable answer,â An assertive nod, âIve been good, mostly working or taking care of Eli. Whatever free time i got, we spend it doing chaos, as per usual,â
Alex smiled at the girl before taking a long drag of her cigarette. Alex didnât have a lot of girl friends, but she considered Bella one. They had their similarities and Bella wasnât like every other girl. She was a lot more like Alex. A lot more laid back, realistic, down to earth, far from prissy. They both knew hard times and had grown because of it. âIâve been doing the same... well, minus the whole kid thing. That will never happen.â Alex joked with a grin, taking another drag and then letting the smoke pour from her lips. âI could use some chaos in my life. Iâm bored of schoolwork. Never in my life did I see myself here, in my last year of college, overwhelmed with schoolwork.â she laughed, leaning against the brick wall of the apartment building. âEspecially not living in this fancy apartment building thanks to the school burning down, though I donât think anyone saw that one coming.â she said with a laugh.Â
im-michaelamarieâ:
I always think before I speak. I just thought with how nice and shiny your heart looked, itâd be a waste to damage it by dying it. I didnât mean harm, I swear.
Well then you should have started off with that. Otherwise itâs a bit of a backhanded compliment, donât you think? Uh... thanks I guess though?Â
im-michaelamarieâ:
No.. I didnât mean it like that, I just meant there⊠I guess I donât know what I meant, but I didnât mean it like negatively?
Well have you ever maybe considered thinking before you speak? Came off pretty negative to me and to be honest, Iâm not in the mood for that today. I mean, really donât you have better things to do?Â
parker-arabellaâ:
i like the believe im never wrong. a talent one may say. hey dont be getting soft on me know, although you are one of the few I actually like as well. The real question is, does that says something for those around us? Or does it say something about us?
âHave you ever known Alex Nunez to be âsoftâ I mean, come on.â Alex chuckled, fishing in her leather jacket for her lighter and cigarettes. âIâm pretty sure everyone thinks Iâll bite their head off and who knows, maybe I will.â Alex shrugged, picking a cigarette out of her pack and placing it between her lips. She leaned against the brick wall, lighting up her cigarette and tucking everyting away back in her pockets. She thought about Bellaâs question for a moment and smirked. âIs âwho caresâ an option. Maybe itâs all of the above.â Alex joked, smiling at the girl. âWhat have you been up to anyway?â
manuellaxsantosâ:
Manny couldnât help, but turn her face sour the moment that she had caught the glimpse of Ms. Alex Nunez. The girls definitely did not like each other. Not one bit. She exhaled a deep breath as her face formed that fakest smile that she could conjure up. She hung up her cell phone before turning her undivided attention to Alex. âWhat happened during mine and Jayâs relationship is none of your business.â She spoke, growing closer to the girl, before backing back up a moment as she gained her cool again. âWhy are you some interested in me anyoneâs Alex? Just jealous?â She asked with a small laugh, flopping her long brown hair from one shoulder to the other side.
Alex couldnât help the snarky laugh that escaped her lips. She didnât always have a problem with Manny, but the way she hurt Jay on and off was enough for Alex to dislike her. Jay wasnât always the best either, but he did try, even if he was bad at it. Manny on the other hand seemed to go right back to her old ways the moment they split again and Alex just didnât like that. Alex met Mannyâs stride, moving closer to her too. Alex flicked the cigarette between her fingers before crossing her arms over her chest. âWhat happened in my best friendâs relationship and what it did to him is absolutely my business, Santos.â Alex replied, shaking her head. She watched the girl step back, it taking every ounce of her to not tear her head off and retreat too. She leaned against the wall, lifting the cigarette to her lips and looking off in the distance. Smoke poured from her smirking lips at Mannyâs next remark. âNo, I just have better things to do in my life then meaningless one night stands, unlike you apparently.â Alex scoffed, rolling her eyes. âNot everyone is jealous of you, princess.âÂ
im-michaelamarieâ:
You know there are other things to keep you occupied besides damaging your hair?
You know there are other things to do to keep you occupied besides worrying about what other people do with their hair? Werenât you just talking about Christmas music in April? Iâd say you have no room to judge.Â
parker-arabellaâ:
the one and only answer is yes. always choose impulse over thought. plus youll look hot as fuck, even more than now.
You know what, youâre right. Always need a little devil on my shoulder. Did I ever tell you youâre one of the very few people I actually like?Â
manuellaxsantosâ:
Manny made her way out of her apartment, phone up close to her ear. ââYeah no Iâm not into the whole Hulu and Commitment thing Iâll just take some Netflix and Chill, thanks.â she spoke into it with a laugh before bumping into someone, letting out a small gasp.
Alex was leaned against the brick wall of the building, cigarette between her lips as she stared at the blue texts on her screen, she moved the cigarette from her lips, scoffing through smoke as she shoved the phone in her pocket. After two years of not speaking to Alex, not even inviting her own daughter to her wedding because what Chad thought was more important, she had really thought she could just saunter back into Alexâs life with some pathetic texts. She laughed at the irony. She had heard a familiar voice and some cringey remark before she pushed off the wall and another body smacked into her. She took a step back to find herself face to face with Manny. She let out another laugh, pressing her lips together to form a sarcastic smirk as she eyed the girl up and down. âHuh. Is that what you said to Jay too? Despite the fact that heâs never committed to a woman in his life besides you.â Alex said, crossing her arms over her chest and looking down at the girl.
