Alfie looked over at Abel, from the couch in their apartment, as Abel stepped through the door. “Abel---” Alfie stood up and, with a sudden courage, pressed his lips against Abel’s, knowing very well he’d probably get pushed away. But he didn’t care. The New Year had suddenly sparked new confidence in him and he wanted this year to be different from the others.

“I might have a bit of a bad memory.” Alfie admitted sheepishly, as the elevator arrived. He stepped inside and pressed the button to his floor. “Personal use? Gross. In my apartment, of all places?” He asked, eyebrows raising. “Yeah, no. I’m not scared of him. You’ll be fine since you’re staying for a few days. I’m moving out anyway by next week. I can’t stand living with this asshole.”
