Ally slowed down and turned around as soon as she heard the man’s request, a curt smile on her face. It took her a moment to adjust to his accent, but when she did, she nodded to answer him. “Sure,” she answered, her smile growing more sincere. “It’s just a few blocks down. I’m headed that way; I can show you if you’d like.”

“Merci, mademoiselle.” Alfie nodded at the offer, slipping his palms into the depths of his pockets as he waited for her to begin walking around with her in the direction of the convenient store. “That would be lovely.” He continued.

Lynn turned her head and nodded, “I’m heading right there actually,” she told him, “I’m working at the flower shop next to it, do you want me to take you there?” Lynn asked him with a friendly smile.

Alfie perked up in delight, nodding towards the female with a smile. “I would like that very much; there’s only so many times take away is acceptable for breakfast, lunch and dinner.”

Gabriella heard a voice and turned to face him. “What?” she asked not hearing the question. “Oh yeah…. it’s right around the corner… or the left.” She smiled. “Are you new?”

Alfie nodded slowly, a smile crossing his lips in appreciation to the female for helping - even though it looked as though she didn't know herself. “I am, moved in yesterday.”

“Yeah, there’s one about two or three blocks from here.” Jamison said as she turned towards the boy as she grabbed out the key to her mailbox from her pocket. “Did you want me to write down directions are are you pretty good with remembering verbal ones?”

“I think verbal ones will be okay..” Alfie agreed with a simple nod, having had to memorize many speeches in his time.

“And he remembers my name.” Eager arms wrapped around the other before there was a moment to think anything over. “Oh my gosh, you’re the same. This is wonderful.” She said against his ear, pulling back only to catch that gaze. “What are you doing here, and if you say passing through on your way to somewhere glamorous, I may in fact cry a little.” Her hand ran down his arm, clearly happy to have him there.

Alfie took the female into his arms without a second thought, a chuckle passing over his lips as she spoke.·“Of course I am, so are you..” He mumbled back to her a longing in his voice; an overjoyed feeling coming over him because of how familiar this girl was. It made him feel as though he hadn’t lost everything when he moved from Chicago. Alfie surveyed the girl as he took a half step backwards,·“I’ve just moved here… actually.”

Well, it’s always snowy here -chuckles- Where’d you move from?

“Snow is fine. It snowed a fair bit back home.” Alfie knew he’d screwed up here, so he said the first place that came to mind. “France; Paris to be exact.”

“That’s what I mea– yeah sure.” She nodded before smiling slightly

Alfie gestured for the female to began walking so that he could walk along with her. “Great, thank you again.” Alfie smiled at the girl, “I’m Alfie by the way.”

Well, it is pretty great. It’s gorgeous and the people are pretty great. Weather kind of sucks sometimes, but you get used to it.

“The people I've met so far have been lovely.” Alfie smiled, agreeing with her. “I’m not generally bothered by the weather. It was rainy a lot where I come from.”

-chuckles- Yeah, I suppose that makes sense then. Nice to meet you, Alfie. Welcome to the apartments. What brought you to our lovely abode?

Smiling still, Alfie tried his best to hid the fact that he couldn’t exactly tell the female the trust behind the answer she was looking for. So, he did his best. “I though Denver looked nice, so here I am.”

Pas de problème -smiles lightly- Don’t think we’ve met. I’m Lily.

Alfie nodded slowly, “Pleasure to meet you, Miss Lily. That's because I moved in yesterday, I’m Alfie.” He flashed her a gentle smile.

“Hm? Oh yeah, actually I was on the way there meself.” She nodded and motioned to the door. “You can follow me if you want”

“Follow you?” Alfie questioned softly, gingerly slipping his hands into his pockets. “May I walk with you?”

Portia, caught on a call, spoke quickly as she tried to avoid yet another scheduling snafu. It was exactly then when she heard the all too familiar voice, followed by the unforgettable accent. ”Let me call you back..” She said and ended the call. Her smile only widening as she took in the person one would’ve expected to see in the halls. “Please don’t tell me if I’m dreaming.”

Alfie hadn't realized who exactly had passed when he posted the question, but after taking a moment to review in the sight of the familiar blonde in front of him. A smile soon rising upon his lips, “Not dreaming...” He mumbled, in ore of the person he’d just come across. It felt like he was lost here in Denver - until now. “Portia..” He whispered softly, strolling over to her.

-comes to a stop and glance at the man, cocking her head at his accent- Oui, there’s one to the left at the end of the block.

Alfie smiled at the female, giving her a head of appreciation. “Merci beaucoup, Mademoiselle.”

“Excuse moi.” Alfie mumbled, holding out an index finger to the passing resident, “Do you happen to know where the nearest convenient store is?” He asked gingerly in his thick French sounding accent. The male needed a few groceries and had no idea anything about the Denver area - seeing as he only moved here the day before.

Elise scrunched her nose up as he poked it. “Yes I have! I’m actually your new roommate.” She chuckled at his automatic assumption. “No, she didn’t. I came here on my own.”

“New roommate?” He asked, not being able to hide the enthusiasm in his voice. But suddenly a frown began creasing at his brow as he processed this information, “Do they know you’re here?”

Elise squealed as a familiar face charged at her and completely ensconced her small frame. When Alfred put her down, she kissed either of his cheeks in greeting and said, “Ah, mon ami, ne serait pas vous voulez savoir?”

With his index finger, Alfie poked the female’s nose gently, smiling still. “I would in fact.” He spoke again, now in English having realized their native tongues would catch them unwanted attention. “Have you come to see me? Did Mama send you?” He rolled his eyes slightly at his question, knowing it was very much something his mother might do.

“My first Thanksgiving! I imagine I’ll be cooking all day.” Elise said through her barely-there French accent.

The voice that echoed through Alfie’s ears had him stopping in his step. Craning his head around to examine the brunette who'd spoken, only to march towards her and engulf her in a bear hug. Alfie lifted Elise off the ground and called in French, “Que thе l'enfer faites-vous ici?”
