Nice to have a movie with a genuinely hopeful and positive air to it while still leaving the future open to speculation. Feels like everything is either grimdark or saccharine or teasing at a sequel. This one ended where it was supposed to and I like that

im aroace and not interested in having any kind of romantic or sexual relationship ever, right. but the one thing I do struggle with sometimes is that I wish I'd have the kind of partnership some people in allo relationships have, where they love each other so much and are there for everything, living their entire life together. i know it's possible to have that in a platonic capacity, but it feels like I'm just... Constantly bombarded by "it has to be romantic. they have to love you romantically, and they have to fuck you, or else nobody would want you like that. The only way you'll get the companionship you desire is if you let someone love you like that, even if it makes you feel disgusting". it's always "marriage" and "the special connection from sex". even the person im closest to likes me romantically, and it sucks, because I love them but Not Like That. it sucks a whole fucking lot. anyway. I don't even know how you could answer to this, but oh well! here's to hoping I'll find the special someone that wants to split the electricity bill without me having to put out for it

So a little bit about me if anyone comes across my blog. I'm an 18 year old gay guy and I got interested in religion at the age of 12 after learning about Hinduism. Since then I've been exploring religion and I've found beauty and meaning in so many. Aside from spirituality, I just love learning about religions in general (hoping to study Religion, Philosophy and Ethics next year!) and I love visiting churches and other places of worship when I can! At the time of writing I'm currently exploring the LDS church and have been interested for a few years, but have been a bit cautious for obvious reasons

Grace got transferred from a teaching mission and is upset and in denial that this is actually what's best for him (could be the move from academia to teaching or from teaching to the HM)

temporarily breaking my home mtc silence to share this: it's an episode on how lds trans women approach the priesthood. I really enjoyed the perspectives, they brought up things that I hadn't ever considered before.

I think it's definitely valuable to listen to LDS transgender voices when we can as the majority of resources for Queer Mormons is often more geared towards those who are queer on the sexuality side with transgender members just getting grouped in
