I still get air quality alerts from where I used to live. It was so strange back then to be surrounded by smoky haze in the middle of summer in the Northeast/Mid Atlantic.. I can’t imagine being in the middle of the fire itself 🤦♀️…🕉️

Y'all for real please do these. Even if you're certain your posture doesn't suck. One day you will wake up with impinged shoulder pain like I did and let me tell you it fucking HURTS. Do these exercises even just once a week and it will make such a difference. Especially my fellow creatives out there, stop shrimping over your work and go do these right now. RIGHT NOW.
Also, if you’re even a little concerned about getting a hump or having trouble standing fully upright in your old age, this is how you prevent that. If you want to be up and about when you’re old you have to start when you’re younger. And keep in mind there is no bad time to start and it’s never too late. Starting today is way better than never starting at all.
The last six months I worked with a personal trainer every week and she put me through some great workouts. I loved learning new things to make my body stronger and more flexible as well. This looks so easy but it was also one of the more difficult exercises to do and I noticed the difference immediately.
You know that I have never let anyone have control over me because they never made me feel safe. But you…
…that was the absolute core of this relationship and you showed me that I could trust you to take care of me, even when I proclaimed my Independence. You didn’t ask, you insisted that you carry my backpack to the car in the morning and kiss me goodbye, every day. Not because I couldn’t do it myself, but because you wanted to do it for me and to share my morning routine with me.
He’s going to be the one to break me but only to save me.
He is teaching me to trust and how to accept love.
He’s going to be the one that shows me how it’s supposed to feel to be free from judgement and inhibition.
He penetrates more than my eager holes.
He encourages me to be myself.
He embraces the parts that I’d forgotten about.

I left ALL the things behind that were draining my peace. Unfortunately, I had to leave behind some of my other favorite people and family. It’s a lot of work to maintain the relationships because of the distance, but I am grateful that I have been able to visit frequently…🕉️
