So I fell down the rabbit hole of watching people playing the aikatsu arcade game

and then somehow got to the chinese version of aikatsu friends

it’s in the original aikatsu’s cabinet, but I think they must have changed the screens and updated the internals to handle aifure’s graphics?? idk

the best part is that it still has all of ogkatsu’s gimmicks and songs so I literally just watched Aine do the pisces fever and Mio do Signalize which was pretty cool

Lyrics were translated by me. My Japanese is not perfect (I’m still learning!) and I tried to capture the ~essence~ of the song rather than translate it literally. 

Have a Dream 

A long time ago, in the far away moon world two princesses played and sang They cast a spell to go to the world of idols that they admired and longed for and said "Let's go"

The shadows seduce the heart The light makes it tremble The days pass, and we arrive on that blue planet

It's strange, really strange; this world is fun Overflowing with curiosity, the genesis of creation Even the commonplace is amazing Our gloomy, everyday life isn't enough

It's fascinating, strange; everything is beautiful Our voices will bridge the stars just like in our dreams We'll cross spacetime, and leap across the galaxy The most amazing dream is right here

It's strange, really strange; it makes us nostalgic The tale of our birthplace; the light of the night That rabbit is still pounding mochi today*  On Jugoya**, we'll view the full moon and feast

We're uneasy, but fortunately We can return to the moon and tell a story like a fairytale We'll surely meet again someday

*This is referring to the Asian folktale of the moon rabbit. In the Japanese version, the rabbit on the moon pounds mochi. **Jugoya (also known as Tsukimi) is the Japanese autumn lunar moon festival.
