It was so hard to snap a shot of this #freshfinds that really does it justice! This local county piece from Zoarville, O. is a double stack of Sensible paper holders with a Sensible string holder patent dated July 18, 1890 as the cherry on top. From Ehlers General Store for satisfaction and economy, "where you get what you want WHEN you want it and where you SEE what you buy BEFORE you buy it". Thursdays mean #freshfinds arrive in the shop, like this ah-mazing c. 1909 printer's cubby made by the Hamilton Mfg. Co. in Two Rivers, Wisconsin as part of their Labor Saving Furniture line for printmakers and type setters. With original metal tag and paper label, this beauty is an absolute gem. Thank you so much for all of your care and compassion over the past few months as I've dealt with some scary and uncertain health concerns. The calls, prayers, messages, comments and so much more were such a comfort and encouragement to me. As many of you know, I had surgery last month that ended up being much more involved than the doctor had anticipated and my recovery has not been easy. However, I am THRILLED to report that I received all the test results yesterday and that everything was clear and benign. The absence of abnormal cells or existing cancer was such an answer to prayer, and while I will still maintain a very low percentage risk of developing cancer in the future, my medical team is confident that regular screens and biopsies will keep us alert and able to catch any changes at the very earliest possible stages if they ever occur. Having all these questions answered has provided such a peace, it feels like I'm finally able to start this new year in earnest! Thank you all again, from the bottom of my heart. ❤️

Without a doubt, one of the most remarkable things I have ever rescued from a barn. Paper on canvas. Hand drawn, lettered and tinted. A revised 1930 city of Dover map that I believe would have come from the courthouse as it bears the county surveyor's name as well as Waldo Hartline, the city engineer. This unbelievable piece is truly amazing with detail and intricacy.
