The last helaegon family scene was the perfect example of their failmarriage. He listens to her concerns, even if he can't understand it. She tells him her worries, and she can't truly express it. He's disrupting their son's school schedule, she's irritated but gives in. He speaks of her in unintentional romantic poetry (still can't get over 'an enduring mystery', when he probably thinks 'now wtf is she on about?').
