Date night was his favorite night of the week, tied with every other night he saw Alice, which was basically every night of his life. He was lovesick, but he had been since he was a 13 year old boy, and he still couldn’t understand why she loved him back. He was eagerly waiting by the door for her to come, and didn’t wait a second before pulling the door open. “ Hello, Alice. You look beautiful.”

“I will say thank you, even though I think you look sooooo much better than me.” She smiled, feeling like a star shining near him, pulling him closer, kissing him with no restrains. “Do you know what I hate in our job? The fact that I cannot snog you all the time.”

Even you have to know that.” she said her ambition showing she had to be the best in everything she did. 

Alice laughed, knowing very well that somehow what she said was going to hit Vanity. Nothing against the other. She thought Vanity was a great witch hit, and she had been one of the greatest allies in fighting dark wizards. "I know that very well, Vanity. And I already told you: you are fucking awesome at this job. Probably because you are unbearable. Is it a prerequisite to enter the position?"

Frank leg was shaking, he glanced down at his watch. He was late. And out of everything he could be late be late for, he was late to see Alice. He really didn’t mean to be late, but he wanted to get some flowers before he saw her, and they had to be the right ones, her favorite. He smiled as the woman finally brought them over to him, paying and thanking her as quickly as he could running out of the shop into the alley, apparating outside of her house.

He knocked quickly hoping she wasn’t mad at him for being too late. “ Hey, I am so very sorry that I am late. I didn’t mean to be late, work got away from me and then I needed the flowers, and the florist was an older woman, bless her heart, but she was very slow. It is a very beautiful day, even more so now that I see you.” He smiled. “ These are for you of course and thank you, it is a new shirt.”

Alice couldn't resist the smile as he talked about what had happened. "The flowers are beautiful." She said as she felt the damn butterflies in her stomach. When would it stop? She was no longer a 15-year-old girl talking to her crush. "I appreciate it." She sniffed the flowers, letting that gift take care of her for a few seconds. "The perfume is magnificent, Frank. Thank you so much, and you look very sexy." She blinked, making the flirtation as evident as possible while she held the door open for him to enter. "I did a few things, but most of them I bought at the store. I know, I suck in the kitchen."

"Good, but we are not talking about me." Alice just ignored the sign of compliment with the short attack. "So, let's change that: Do you really believe that people do not talk with you because you are not 'cute'?" She used her fingers to express herself. "That's ridiculous. You are a fucking awesome hit witch, even that most of the sometimes you can be unbearable."

Her fingers looked nervous, or rather, they were anxious. Alice was always a girl to say what she would do, and she never cared what others thought. Come On! She followed the path that everyone thought she would not be able to do, as she also sent half of the dark wizards to Azkaban to think about his misdeeds. The Gryffindor took a deep breath once more while waiting for Frank, who was late, to arrive at her house. Everything was ready for it: food, they were going to play some board games and, finally, she was going to discuss a subject that was making her so anxious. When she heard the door slam, she smiled, running and almost dropping Lily’s cat. That would it be a nightmare if it happened. “Hey!” She spoke, holding on to the door to try to get the balance that seemed to have been missing for mere seconds. “Come in! It is beautiful today! Is it a new shirt? I never saw you using it.” She commented sincerely, letting him in and allowing her heart to calm down from seeing him. Would it be like this every time they saw each other? Or was it something of that new thing they were experiencing?

Frank wished he could take all her sadness for himself, he hated seeing her like this, but he was struggling to keep it together himself. Marlene and their whole family were amazing people. He failed them, and he couldn’t help but think he would fail Alice as well.

“ Are you sure you are fine.” He said looking over her. “ Your leg still wasn’t completely healed, you sure you don’t need to be looked it.” He didn’t care about himself, she was what was important right now. “ I love you too, Alice. So much, you won’t ever lose me, I promise you, Alice.” He said holding her face in his hands. “  You are my world.”

Her body, tight to his, did not bring her comfort, and she knew why. Alice could feel his pain from afar and needed to control hers to help him. For two seconds, she shook her head. "Don't worry about my leg. I'm walking, and they didn't even come close. I promise." She smiled at him and closed her eyes while listening to his promise that she would not lose him, causing her heart to calm down. "I love you, Frank. And I love you very much but don't suffer for what we could have done. We did the best we could, and we're going to find these idiots, and we're going to kill them, and then resurrect them, we're going to kill them again." She kissed him slowly, letting the tears flow for the first time and feeling safe to make him see her in that fragile moment. "I can't lose anyone else, or I'm going to start freaking out like those bang-bang movies Lily once watched."

Frank chuckled shaking his head. “ No need to doubt it, I’ve been in love with you, since the moment we met.” He said with a blush. It was embarrassing but he didn’t think of anyone else after seeing her for the first time in the Great Hall. “ Then let’s go in and dancing all night, and have photos to make our friends jealous.” He teased.

"Oh, really? And you didn't say anything until I kissed you?" She raised her eyebrows, smiling, and agreed with him on the idea of ​​making their friends jealous. She always liked and knew very well that Frank knew this competitive side of her that was very healthy until she started taking it very seriously. "I think it's a great idea, Frank. Let's make them want to find someone to date." She took his hand, taking it to the photos.

Frank didn’t have any time to catch his breath. One moment he was dancing with Alice, feeling as if he was on top of the world and the next moment, he was watching the dead face of his friend. A friend that he promised he would protect, a friend that he was suppose to visit, never did, swore he would find once she was missing and failed. He didn’t have time to mourn her or her family before he was in battle. Curses were flying everywhere and he was trying his hardest, but he couldn’t help look for Alice, trying to make sure she was safe. Once it was all over, he stared at her. He was close with Marlene, but she was her best friend.

“ Alice.” He said softly, pulling her into his arms. He couldn’t say anything else, there was nothing he could say to make her feel better, but he knew he just had to be there for her. “ I love you, Alice, and I promise we will find them, and we will make sure they hurt no one else, but right now, we need to get you to a healer, both of us. Marls would want you to be patched up when you avenge her.”

His embrace was painful, and she felt the anger consuming her, but also the fear. Marls was a fortress that Alice knew very well that if she didn't escape, who would? She would have to look at her back and make sure everyone was safe and well. Frank's speech was not comforting. It was a promise she liked very much. Something she would definitely want help with, as she would put each of these people into Azkaban and ensure that they never saw the light of day again. "I am fine. Lily will take care of us if she remembers where she is." She replied, touching his face and pressing her forehead to his before they disturbed them with inspections. "I love you very much. And we will not lose anyone else. I will not lose you."

Frank chuckled breathlessly as he look down at him. Every kiss was like the first one, perfect and left him wanting more and more. “ It is true, no one has ever came close to making me feel as you do.” He said peeking her lips once more before stepping back. “ Then let’s go dance, and take photos and have a wonderful night together.”

"How can you be cuter than that?" She hugged him tenderly and laughed at his attitude. "Come on," Alice laced her fingers and waited for him to lead them.

Alice couldn't even remember how she faced three Death Eaters at once and at the same time managed to help Frank in his battle. The woman's determined look proved that she reacted differently to Lily, who, in turn, protected the bodies while others tried to escape. When the last Death Eater, visibly injured, disappeared into the air, Alice looked at Frank. The adrenaline was still high. The body did not seem to recognize the sadness that would come hours later when she had finished adjusting everything and helped the aurors. "I WILL KILL THOSE GUYS! HOW DO THEY ENTER HERE AND THINK THAT THEY CAN DO WHAT THEY WANT. I am telling you, Frank. They were at the party, and now, my friend is dead BECAUSE OF THEM!" She grunted in a fury, looking at Frank as if her eyes were utterly blind to the situation she was in. "She didn't deserve this, and neither of us did! I will-" She couldn't say anymore.
