Name: Edward Septimus Black.

Gender: Male.

General Appearance: One look at him, and it’s clear that Edward is his father’s son. He’s got all the features that teenage Regulus was known for, right down to his intense gaze, smirking smolder and pronounced cheekbones.

Personality: Enigmatic. Contemplative. Argumentative. Confident. Ambitious.

Hogwarts House: Slytherin, although the Sorting Hat urged him to consider Hufflepuff before his placement was ultimately decided.

Special Talents: Edward has always been musically inclined, although he only fully realized his talent after an attempt to impress a Ravenclaw during third year. He enjoys playing guitar the most, can carry a tune reasonably well, and is familiar with playing piano. He is also an avid fan of Quidditch, although he doesn’t outwardly express his interest in the sport. Academically speaking, he’s quite taken to potions, largely the result of the tutelage of Hogwarts Potion Master and Head of House, Professor Snape.

Who They Take After More: Given his surname, there is a certain expectation of Edward to hold himself in a certain way, even if mostly self-imposed. Behind closed doors, however, he is another person entirely, one that is completely contradictory to the public persona he maintains. He’s a lot like his mother, in ways that even he isn’t quite aware of. However, it is quite rare that he shows this part of himself to others, outside of his immediate family and exclusive social circle.

Personal Headcanon: There was perhaps no notion quite as ludicrous to Amelia than the prospect of having children. The last thing she wanted and anticipated was getting pregnant, least of all with Regulus Black. The result of a grief-fueled tryst after losing Edgar, she made it quite clear that she had no intention of settling down with him, or being a part of his life in any other way than what was necessary. He shared in this desire and they quickly developed a co-parenting arrangement, one that has been remained surprisingly successful. They might not be each other’s favourites, but they respect each other and ultimately want what is best for Edward.
