I gotta delete Twitter man wtf.

For context: Ashley Nichols and Michael Kovach are being cancelled on twitter for laughing at a “nega” joke (a black shirt with the word “nega” on it) on a Jackbox stream like 7 years ago. (Also “nega” was basically a replacement for the n word in the 2010s)

And Ashley actually said the n word on the same stream. (Okay so, she was trying to pronounce a chatter’s username. She didn’t say it in like a racist manner but it sounded like she literally said “nigga” so…I’m still indifferent)

They both apologized and It’s good that they did, but as a black person I don’t accept their apologies. I don’t tolerate racism even if it is a joke.

“It was years ago get over it” -I do believe that people can change within a long period of time and I want to believe that they have, but at the end of the day, we don’t know them personally.

They could be raging racists or they could just be kind hearted people. We do not know them.

There’s a lot of people calling black people the n word on twitter for being upset about this situation and it’s just insane.

I might step away from of the TADC fandom for a while. I’ll still watch the last episode and give my input but I really don’t know. See y’all later 💜

PS: Non black people accepting their apologies “on our behalf” is fucking weird. Their apologies don’t apply to you because the N WORD is often used to dehumanize black people when it’s used by non black people.

PPS: I heard that Gooseworx also participated in the nega “joke” on that same stream. She didn’t apologize, but it’s whatever. I wouldn’t have accepted her apology either.
