Welcome back | Nagisa x Sousuke
▓▒░ ☀ Nagisa laughed happily and raised his head to meet Sousuke’s touch as he ruffled his hair. ❝I knew you cared!❞ he exclaimed as he fell onto the gifts of food his friend has so carelessly dumped onto his lap with great gusto. There was toffee coffered popcorn, chocolate biscuits, other biscuits, his favourite brand of baklava, and a pack of caramel pudding. Without further ado he tore open the pack of popcorn and stuffed a handful of it in his mouth. ❝Fank woo, Fou-tan!❞ he said around his bulging mouthful of delicious—not so nutritious—food.
Swallowing he paused the program and turned so that he was half hanging off the back of the sofa and gave Sousuke another eye blinding smile. ❝Sou-chan is always so nice to me. How was your day? Did you have to do a lot of work? Did you save anyone?❞ Nagisa asked completely in rapid fire mode now that his strength was restored—not that it ever left mind, he was just too busy feeling sorry for his empty belly. ❝I didn’t have much to do today at the store buuuuut Big Boomer let me cuddle with him! He was really good!”
Living with his high school friend was seriously one of the best things that had ever happened the blond. Sousuke was everything that he was not: organised, tidy, and a good cook. The amount of times the other had had to clean up his failed attempts at making some semblance of a meal. ❝Have I ever told you how much I love you, Sou-chan?❞ Nagisa said conversationally, winking as he vaulted over the sofa, ❝Oh, and can you make fried rice for dinner? Onegaaaaaaiiii~!❞
Sousuke watched fondly for a moment as Nagisa practically tore open the bag he’d dropped in his lap, exclaiming happily when he found it was full of treats. He knew it probably wasn't the best idea to feed the other boy such sugary treats so late in the day but it was what Nagisa liked and a treat every once in a while wasn't necessarily a bad thing. He closed his eyes for a moment as he thought this. He was going soft. He was going entirely soft and it was this little blonde’s fault. Ludicrous.
Moving away from the sofa, Sousuke dropped his own bag down by the table and made his way into their little kitchen. Already Nagisa was in rapid fire question mode, asking him one hundred things at once and barely pausing to breathe before he started talking about his own day. Obviously now that his hunger was sated, his ridiculous energy had returned to him. Sousuke didn’t reply at first, taking his time opening the fridge and pouring himself a glass of milk. He could see Nagisa practically vibrating on the sofa from the corner of his eye and his lips twitched a little as he spoke.
“It was good. Busy as always. Lots of kids.” he shook his head, pausing to take a sip of his milk. “No, I didn’t have to save anyone, Nagisa. I usually don’t have to do anything at all.” He leaned back against the kitchen counter, watching as his friend practically vaulted the couch as he made his way over. This boy really did have too much energy. He was going to hurt himself one of these days. Taking another long sip of his milk, Sousuke set his glass down on the counter as Nagisa approached. “You’ve told me many times,” he said was a snort, flicking the blonde’s forehead. “Every day, in fact." It was true - Nagisa professed his love for him almost every day, usually after some food related gift. Honestly, Sousuke would be surprised if it didn't happen.
"Fried rice it is, then.” He said with a little smile. "But that means you can't eat everything I brought for you right now, or you won't have room for it. You'll make yourself sick again."
