the tool that keeps on giving: button maker! Design buttons for a program, let people draw their own button designs, or use weeded books!
this thing is so versatile that I will mourn it if I move to a library that doesn't have one.
Some DIY needle minders using weeded books, bottle caps, 2 magnets, ribbon, and hot glue!
teruteru bozu for anime club!
I've seen in my research that nowadays teruteru bozu are popular charms and come in a bunch of colors/styles. I tried to lean into a middle ground between traditional and modern between the white fabric and the lace.
Final for Intro to Children's Librarianship! Carol Tilley was a fantastic professor and this was an awesome class.
A sequel to my Miniature Look and Find was the Winter Market Look and Find! It was a smash success, fun for me to make and for the kids to look at. Patrons spent a long time taking in all the tiny details, even after they finished the look and find worksheet.

anime club kids making their perler beads (3 of them are actually mine 😅)
upcoming anime club crafts! it's been fun trying to think of stuff that's low cost and enough to keep a gaggle of 12-14 year olds entertained for ~2 hours.
Our first meeting we painted CD cases, like glass painting minus the glass (which was nice for this group).
lots of fun. the kids were so loud.
more anime club test crafts!
my miniature look and find passive program!! it was a massive hit, big enough for patrons to ask for it back :D
I am working on one for winter right now!
Book displays from the last few months!!
and a storytime I covered for a coworker
Not many pictures from this escape room... we sort of forgot. Definitely easier than last year's, which was our goal- but too easy for our teens (perfect for the littles)!
Some tester crafts for work! We did the shrinky dinks last week, and you NEED a toaster oven or else they fail way more often :(

Some little nametags I made for a program. I thought these turned out adorable, and the kids loved them. Wanted something gender neutral, yet cute. I feel bad that little boys are often shunned for liking rainbows and flowers.
A display sign I made for Ramadan! I also printed out some activity sheets from Fun with Mama, and pulled some books about Ramadan and Eid. We have a small Muslim population at our library, so I wanted them to feel included!
The shelf tags in our youth area needed a new coat of paint. I think they turned out pretty cute!
