So it's definitely a thing in male-dominated fields where if you're a woman with a first name that sounds like a surname, and a last name that sounds like a male first name, people sometimes assume (before meeting you) that you're a guy and the name order is wrong, rather than that you're a woman.

And this probably never happened (the other way around) to firstname Ryland surname Grace when he was working in the sciences, because, male-dominated fields. However! Then he became a teacher.
