Weekend practices should be illegal, but coach obviously doesn't agree
They're not illegal?
Pancakes and Productive Conversation || Nate & Alison
Alison: Alison decided to brave the great outdoors and sit on her front porch. One of her cats, Lola, had been particularly needy, so she had to say goodbye first. Wearing the thickest mittens, she hummed to herself, waiting for Nate to move in and get out of his car.
Nate: Pulling up to the front of her house, Nate smiled at Alison as he got out of his car. "Hey stranger!" Walking over to her, he opened his arms to invite her for a hug.
Alison: "Ahhh Nate!" Alison said brightly, leaping up to give her friend that hug. "We need to stop not doing things. I missed you. And everyone. But I missed you, really... What's up?"
Nate: Nate pulled back from the hug and laughed. "Seriously, I cant believe we haven't dome something sooner. It's been weird not talking to you. But I've been hanging out with Taylor a lot. Other than that I haven't been doing much." He explained.
Alison: "It's good that you're doing things with Taylor. She's... your girlfriend. You're supposed to do a lot with her." Alison smiled, but she still felt the lingering hurt from her break-up. By now, she was over a lot of it, but she missed having someone to be close to. "Right! So we can go out to eat, and I can make you shop..."
Nate: "Yeah it was fun, she stayed over for a few days and we just hung out around the house watching movies and some other stuff." Nate blushed, walking over to open the car for Alison. "But now it's you and me and I'm starving."
Alison: "Yeah, yeah. I know the stuff," Ali sighed, shrugging. She was glad for Nate, really. He and Taylor seemed really happy, in spite of that crazy werewolf thing. Slipping in the car, she murmured some thanks, and said, "I say we get pancakes. Or something else. I'm not even picky."
Nate: Nate let out a heavy sigh. He'd completely forgotten about all the stuff that happened to Alison. "Pancakes sound amazing right now. I know a pretty good place." Starting the car, he started driving in the direction of the restaurant. "sorry about me talking about Taylor. I know it's not fun for you."
Alison: "No, I'm happy for you," Ali said honestly, looking out the window. She had a hard time making eye contact at the moment, and hoped Nate didn't mind. "I do wish that things had worked out... I mean, Santana never did ask me or anything, so it's just me and the cats. Don't feel bad, okay?"
Nate: "She didn't?!" Nate looked over at Alison quickly. "She's probably just uh, well I'm not sure why she hasn't." Looking back at the road he sighed. "I just want you to be happy."
Alison: "I'd like to be happy too. But I imagine I'm going to have to wait a little longer on that," Ali sighed, still refusing to turn her head around to face Nate. "Don't bother her more. If she wanted to ask me, then she would have asked me."
Nate: "Well she told me she was going to, and I don't think she lied." Nate said, hoping to reassure her. "I don't think you'll have to wait much longer, but I'm always around if you need someone." He smiled as he pulled into the parking lot. "Ready to eat?"
Alison: "It's actually been months," Alison said softly, fidgeting with her hands. By now, Santana had to have forgotten she even existed. She looked towards him when they were parked, and forced a smile. "Yeah. I'm ready."
Nate: This was killing him. Alison deserved so much more than she's been getting. "I'm going to talk to her. This just isn't cool," he muttered. Stepping out of the car, Nate waited for Alison.
Alison: "If she's not interested, she's not interested," Alison mumbled to herself, getting out of the car slowly. She shut the door, and sighed. "Okay, let's just go," she said decisively, starting to walk.
Nate: Nate followed Alison into the restaurant and waited to be seated. "That's the thing, she definitely did seem interested." He explained, confused by the situation. "This is so confusing," He muttered.
Alison: "Well, she definitely gave up or something, or seriously lost interest," Ali said with a shrug, waving over a hostess. "I'm damaged goods, anyways."
Nate: Nate chuckled. "You're not damaged. Maybe a little scratched up, but you tough." Following the hostess to a booth he looked over the menu. "I don't think anyone has really been focused on that stuff lately, and she's got Dave staying at her house. She probably just has a lot going on."
Alison: "I suppose," Alison said, shrugging awkwardly. Even though she had talked to the guy, Alison still found herself wary of Dave Karofsky, but she did not want to rant to Nate about that. "I've got nothing going on. That could be it."
Nate: Nate nodded. "Yeah I havent had much going on either. Full moon isn't until later this month so that's always good." Nate sank in his seat as he thought about the last full moon.
Alison: "Worse than a period. I am not jealous in the least that you are all cool and stuff," Alison said awkwardly and quietly, not wanting to arouse too much attention from their fellow patrons. "Everything safe then?"
Nate: "Uh, kinda. I, um, I forgot about it the first night." Nate explained quietly. "I woke up in the woods. Not fun at all. It was cold and bloody and just not fun," He said as he shut his eyes.
Nate: "Uh, kinda. I, um, I forgot about it the first night." Nate explained quietly. "I woke up in the woods. Not fun at all. It was cold and bloody and just not fun," He said as he shut his eyes.
Alison: "Oh," Alison said, looking down. Perhaps she should not have seized upon this notsome topic. Thinking as fast as she could, she grasped for a new starting point. "Any break plans?"
Nate: Nate shook his head and smiled. "As of now, I don't think I have anything planned. I'm just sorta going with the flow." Shifting in his seat he looked down at the menu again. He couldn't look at Alison anymore.
Alison: "Really?" Alison said, trying to sound peppier than she was. Wow, she really stunk at making conversations at all desirable. "Wish I had my license and could road trip or something."
Nate: "Road trips are cool. I haven't been on many but they seem fun." Nate said, trying not to seem too bummed. He shouldn't have brought up the full moon. This month was worse that the previous ones only because he actually remembered parts of it. "We should plan one for the break."
Alison: "Definitely," Alison said with a smile, trying to encourage this. "Invite Taylor, of course. KC and Harmony... Kace was a little weird with you, right? I hope she isn't still. But it could go well."
Nate: Nate shrugged. "Uh yeah, me and KC aren't really friends. I still don't know why. Guess I'm just not a good person or something."
Alison: "Maybe just Harmony then?" Alison amended with a frown. "I'd rather everyone be happy. And I can make it up to Kace with something specific to her. It could work. You like Harmony, right?"
Nate: "Yeah Harmony's cool. She's interesting." Nate faked a smiled and called a waitress over so that they could order. "Do you know what you want?"
Alison: Alison was about to say something about wanting to know who Nate's friends really were, but then came the waitress. "Uh... Pancakes. With strawberries, please?" Alison said sweetly as she could manage.
Nate: "Uh yeah pancakes are good for me too. Just the pancakes." Nate said in a blank tone. He waited for the waitress to leave so that they could continue talking. "Sorry if I'm bumming you out a little. It's been weird."
Alison: "Life is weird," Alison said without thinking too hard about it. "Who would you invite on the road trip if you could choose anybody? I don't know who would fit and everything, but hypothetically."
Nate: "Probably no. Just to be able to think for a while." Nate muttered. He knew that wasn't the answer she was looking for so he took a deep breath. "Um, but you, Taylor, maybe Mike and Kyle. If things with you and Santana worked out than her too."
Alison: "Do you really think it's a good idea to set non-coupled people on a road trip together?" Alison said, raising her eyebrows. "She's not going to ask me anything, and maybe it's too late... Kyle... Oh yeah, I know him. A little much excited?"
Nate: "It could be a way for you to actually talk to each other. Since you'll be the only ones that are single and you obviously have or had something." Nate suggested. "You guys are the people I'm closest to right now. I don't really know or trust anyone else."
Alison: "...She's going to think I'm expecting something, though," Alison said, frowning. "If I ask Santana on the road trip, and she says no, that means she's turning me down. I don't- I don't want to rush it."
Nate: Nate shrugged. "Then dont. Whatever makes you happy, right? I'm sure the only reason she'd say no is because I'm going. Not because of you." He said jokingly.
Alison: "Nate," Alison sighed. "I just- I don't want to have to make excuses about this. I think I'll confront her about it myself. Haven't been thinking about her too much..." She bit at her lip, and played with the drinking straw. "This water is awful."
Nate: "Well this is a pretty awkward meal." Nate admitted. "Seems like we can't talk about much around each other, huh?"
Alison: "Only today," Alison sighed. "See? Damaged goods. I am a hassle to spend any time with, and can't understand why you're putting up with me!"
Nate: "Ali, come on. You know that this isn't youre fault." Nate sighed. "It's me. I'm a werewolf that seems to only be successful at making people not like him. I mean, the only conversation topics I have are Taylor and how I'm gonna handle the next full moon. I think I'm a bit more damaged."
Alison: "...We don't need to make this a competition about who's more depressing. You're more depressing in the here and now, and I'm a sad soul. The end. No more conversation on that." Alison pursed her lips together. "I just- Yeah."
Nate: "Probably not a competition any of us want to win." Nate played with the paper from his straw and frowned. "Sorry about this."
Alison: "No." Alison closed her eyes, and tried to withdraw back into herself some. "I think I'm the root of this conversation problem. It's like this with everyone, more or less."
Nate: "I usually just hang out with Taylor. We don't really talk much." Nate muttered. Looking up he could tell that none of this was good for either for them.
Alison: "That's... okay?" Ali did not know how to respond to that, since she kept thinking of bad mental images. "Let's talk about food. Why do you like plain pancakes?"
Nate: "It's great, I like spending time with her. Just seems a little too sexual sometimes. Truth is, I don't know much about her." Nate cleared his through and shrugged. "Plain pancakes are just simple. Just add a little syrup and you've got a good breakfast."
Alison: "But... The strawberries. You add them, and then you have a balanced breakfast instead of monotonously flavored carbs," Alison said with a straight face. "Good? But not good for you. Important."
Nate: Nate rolled his eyes and laughed. "I don't think a few strawberries balances it out. But maybe next time."
Alison: "Shush, let me feel good about myself," Alison teased. "I'm still better off than you. What, should I have gotten orange juice? Could be better?"
Nate: "Yeah, you're probably better of than I am in a lot of ways." Nate said still smiling a little. "Orange juice is pretty tasty."
Alison: "Only in a few, Nate," Alison hummed, thumbing over the tip of the straw. "A growing were needs his fruits, though."
Nate: "Ha ha very funny." Nate said in a sarcastic tone. "Fruit is for suckers. Same goes for vegetables. I'm more of a fast food kind of guy to be honest." He said jokingly.
Alison: "Breakfast is no time for vegetables!" Alison said quickly. "...Except in omelettes. So never mind." She looked down. "Potatoes don't count as veggies, though."
Nate: "Potatoes are totally vegetables!" Nate argued. "It doesn't matter, I just want my pancakes. I haven't eaten real food in forever."\
Alison: "They are a starch!" Alison bickered. She giggled, and started to fuss with the straw again. "Have you even had any vegetables lately? I mean, I can cook some stuff for you, if you're having trouble."
Nate: "I haven't eaten much besides pizza, meats, cereal, and whatever is in my freezer. I'm running low on stuff." Nate explained. He never really tried to cook anything, mainly because he wasnt sure how. "You don't have to do that. You probably have all kinds of other stuff to do."
Alison: "I don't actually have anything better to do," Alison said with a shrug. "Just my choirs and homework, and this is easier than homeschool." Propping her head up on her hands, she added, "What if I made you meals to freeze for a week, and taught you how to make them?"
Nate: "I guess that wouldn't be too bad. Real meals are much better than what I've been having." Nate said as he leaned back in his seat. "If youre able to, I don't mind. I just dont want you to have to go out of your way or something."
Alison: "Of course I don't mind, Nate," Alison said with a smile. "We can spend some more time together, and it will be productive. Everyone wins. Now, what do you really want to eat that doesn't sound so hard?"
Nate: "Honestly, I'm not picky. Just no vegetables, okay?" Nate asked with a smile. He was excited to hang out with Alison more often. Just then their food arrived. "Finally!"
Alison: "...I'll figure out how to fit in vegetables. But you won't even know they're there," Alison promised. She looked up, and saw that they're food had arrived. "Oooh, this looks awesome," she said before the waitress could leave. "Excited..."
Nate: Already stuffing a gigantic portion of pancakes in his mouth Nate nodded. "So good," he said after swallowing. "These pancakes are amazing!"
Alison: "I am so glad we did this," Alison gushed, chopping her pancakes into bite-size pieces so as not to make a giant mess later. "Can you make pancakes?"
Nate: Nate nodded, unable to talk do to the food in his mouth. After swallowing he frowned. "I've never made pancakes before. My parents thought I'd burn down the house."
Alison: Alison took a bite of food, and nodded it down. "Well, you can't much burn the house down with pancakes. It's over a stovetop, so just be careful about getting flammable stuff on the stove."
Nate: "Cool. I'm gonna start making pancakes all the time now." Nate said, halfway done with his plate. "They probably wont be this good though."
Alison: "No, definitely not," Alison agreed, stabbing a strawberry. "They have fancy griddles and grease... Be careful, and follow all the directions, yeah?"
Nate: "Yeah of course." Nate muttered. His attention was primarily on the food infront of him. "So, anything else you wanna talk about?"
Alison: "Dunno," Alison said, suddenly self-conscious. "Don't ask me what I want to talk about... Just say it? Right?"
Nate: "What? Oh I dunno. How's school or whatever?" Nate asked, not really knowing what else to say.
Alison: "School's boring, I'm boring, I've been well behaved. Haven't given anyone a reason to be mad at me." She shrugged. "You keeping up?"
Nate: "I've never really had a problem with anyone at school." Nate said plainly. "There are people that get annoyed by me like Quinn, Santana, most people that arent my friends. But no slushies or anything."
Alison: "I know you've never gotten slushies, but I do wish you were more well-liked. You're such a nice guy," Alison said, frowning at her plate. "School sucks."
Nate: Nate shrugged. "Some people just can't handle how nice I can be I guess." He nodded at her comment about school. "At least you've got people like me at school."
Alison: "I do have you, yes," Alison said with a shrug. She smiled gently, and played around with the syrup swirls. "Wish I had more friends sometimes, thought."
Nate: "Same here. People to just hang around with on the weekends or something. Never really had anything like that." Nate said with a frown.
Alison: "Me neither. Given, I didn't quite have friends growing up," Alison said bitterly. Feeling bad for turning the conversation sour, she attempted to change the subject. "So... Anything exciting on your part?"
Nate: "Exciting?" Nate had to actually take a moment to think of something that was exciting about his life. "Uh I've been thinking about taking Taylor on an actual date for once. I'm really bad at that stuff though."
Alison: "Wait, you have never taken Taylor on a date?" Alison said incredulously. "Stop thinking and just do! We have to dress you up, and you should get her a flower..."
Nate: "Not a good one." Nate admitted. "We do stuff and go places together, but it's never really a date. And I've never even been on a real date before. And I've never bought flowers for someone before."
Alison: "Well now is a good time to start," Alison said brightly. "I'd say wear something that shows skin, but that might not be wise... Wear nice things, get her a rose that's either red or her favorite color. Go somewhere she likes. Pick her up and open the door for her... I should have done all of this." Glumly, she looked down.
Nate: "Wow, that's a lot to take in." Nate sighed, looking over at Ali. "Hey, come on. You know Quinn doesn't really deserve to be taken out on dates by you. They'd be too special. You're too special."
Alison: Alison pursed her lips, and nodded slowly. "She never was invested in our relationship as much as I was, really. Doing all that would have meant nothing to her." She shrugged sadly. "I'm glad for you, though. You have someone you can do all these things for and you have to feel bad if you screw up."
Nate: "She just wasn't good." Nate muttered. He was still mad about the argument he had with Quinn during the time he was in Mike's body. "I'm glad you're glad. But screwing up really wouldn't look good for me. If I ever screwed up, it would be really bad."
Alison: "But I loved her," Alison said sadly, knowing that it said something about her. "You're not going to screw up, is the thing. Taylor is a sweet girl, and you're a lovely guy, and you are going to have a perfect real first date. I am helping. Okay?"
Nate: "And she didn't care. I can see the appeal of her at first, but she's harsh and cruel and doesn't think other people." Nate said, realizing how harsh it must've felt after he said that. "Sorry. But I'd love to have you help me. You're my best friend and a pretty amazing one."
Alison: "She did care... Just not enough. Much less than enough," mumbled Ali. "But she isn't harsh... and she doesn't try to be cruel and I- I just- Is it so weird that I've been building up Santana up a lot? Like I kind of, uh... wish sometimes that she'll- It's stupid."
Nate: "I guess I just don't like Quinn for many reasons, but I don't think you should defend her." Nate said strongly. "Listen, I think it's good that you're at least trying to like Santana. The girl seems softer than she looks. It's not weird that you like her."
Alison: Alison shook her head vigorously. "N-no. I mean I think she's not all as bad and everything, but I-" She fiddled nervously with her napkin. "I keep daydreaming that she's going to want me and care for me like I want, and it's just- It's sick, that's what it is. I'm sick."
Nate: Nate let out a heavy sigh. He had no idea what to say. "You're not sick. You just have a really, really big heart. Those are the best things in the world to have, but they get hurt too easily. Youre not sick."
Alison: "No, I'm really, really sick," Alison exclaimed, a bit too loudly. "I'm practically in love with the idea of the head cheerleader I barely know. It's just so great."
Nate: "That's what a lot people think about on a daily basis. I'm sure if I weren't dating Taylor I'd be thinking the same thing." Nate said, hoping to calm her down. "Ali, it that crazy. I'm going to help you in any way that I can. You're helping me with dating Taylor and you helped me with wolf stuff before. I owe you this."
Alison: "I need psychiatric help or something!" Alison said, somewhat distracted by herself. "I just- I'm glad you'll help me, but I'm actually crazy, and I'm not meant for relationships, or logic... I can help you all you need."
Nate: Nate was speechless. He had no idea what was going on with Alison underneath the surface. "Ali, do we need to go somewhere and talk? I don't wanna help you with just Santana, I wanna help you in any way I can."
Alison: Alison shook her head. "No, it's fine. I'm perfectly fine. It's not like anything is going to be more than fine. I'm not meant for anything good, and it's pretty obvious. Okay? Okay."
Nate: "Um, you just said you need psychiatric help. You're not fine." Nate said softly. "Things are going to be great for you, okay. You deserve more than fine and that's what youre going to get."
Alison: "You can say that and all," Alison said more calmly. She still wasn't completely under control, but she was getting better. "Nobody really deserves anything. Stuff just happens. Karma isn't real."
Nate: "We should go." Nate muttered. Leaving 50 dollars on the table he stood up quickly. "I know you don't want to, but I wanna talk in a not so public place."
Alison: Alison didn't get up. "That's too much money, and you know it," Alison said, pulling out a twenty and a another five. Seizing the fifty, she she stood up, and rolled her eyes. "Take it back."
Nate: "I was leaving tip. They were good pancakes." Nate said, putting his money back on the table. "Just leave it."
Alison: "...Nate, stop it. You're being stupid about this," Alison said, getting frustrated. "Is this about me? Really now?"
Nate: Nate let out a deep sigh and rolled his eyes. "This has nothing to do with you, okay? I'm just trying to be nice. People get shitty tips from shitty people and I don't wanna be a shitty person."
Alison: "...Nate, a really good tip is 20%," Alison said coldly. "You're not making me feel any better about this. It makes you seem like you're compensating for my awful-ness."
Nate: "Alison, I spend three nights a month as a monster. I spend every other day trying to make up for that, so please, just leave it." Nate said quietly. "Can we just go?"
Alison: Alison grumbled, but shut up. Sulkily, she started to walk out without saying anything. Nate, nice as he was, did not get how frustrating he was being.
Nate: Nate shut the door behind him as he got into the car. He didn't always have the best temper, but he didn't want to blow up on Alison. "Sorry. It's hard sometimes."
Alison: Alison followed him to the car, extremely tense and unhappy. Sliding into the front seat, she replied, "Understandable. I'm difficult, you're not equipped to deal with me..."
Nate: Nate rested his head on the steering wheel and shook his head. "It's not you. It really isn't. I'm the one with the problem. I'm a fucking idiot that can barley take care of himself."
Alison: Alison tilted her head to one side, and tried to process. What... "Nate, do you want to talk? I told you I would help you learn to cook and stuff."
Nate: "It's not about the cooking." Nate muttered. "I'm just not good. I'm an idiot because I can never keep up with when these full moons start. I ruined my connection to getting through them safely and I got out last month. There was blood everywhere, okay?! I thought I killed someone, but that wasn't the worst part. I actually remembered what happened. And even though it wasn't a person just having the memory of tearing that animal apart. It was terrifying. Knowing that I could've ended up like that animal. Knowing that I could do that to a human being." He hit his head against the steering wheel, starting to cry. "I hate myself."
Alison: Alison frowned, and tried to process. No, she did not understand what in the world happened to werewolves when they transformed, and she did not plan to do anything of the sort. So putting herself in Nate's shoes proved a little difficult. "Taylor is on the same schedule, right?" she said slowly. "What if you made a deal that you remind each other in the week leading up to the full moon so it didn't catch anybody off guard. The animal? Ahh... something you couldn't help. Just traumatizing...?"
Nate: "I guess. I just hate this. I don't want her to think I can't handle things without her. She might not be there forever." Nate muttered softly. He hated thinking about the possibility of Taylor not being around.
Alison: "Nate..." Alison sighed, and leaned back in her seat. "Remind each other of it. As a team thing. It's okay to rely on each other. Or set an alarm on your phone?"
Nate: Nate sat up and whipped the tears from his face. "It's fine. Just forget about it. I don't wanna put all this on you. You're going through a lot already." Nate started the car and started driving back towards Alison's house.
Alison: "Everyone's going through a lot already," Alison sighed. "It's Lima. We live with vampires, and awful bullies, and bigots... It's not the easiest place to have an adolescence."
Nate: "I don't wanna blame Lima for my problems. Just seems like a cheater way out." Nate let out sigh. "I know I can't blame myself for everything but most of it, like going out in the middle of the night, is my fault."
Alison: "It's not a cheater way out. This place is horrible, awful, and I can't stand it," Alison said, clenching her fists. "Everyone makes mistakes, and all that matters now is that you're going to make it better. Right?"
Nate: "Right." Nate said. He tightened his grip on the steering wheel and sighed. "I don't wanna talk anymore, okay? I'm just not doing too good."
Alison: "No more talking, then," Alison agreed, turning her body to face straight ahead. Rigidly, she positioned herself so she did not need to look to the side so easily..
Nate: Nate just let himself cry. He felt like shit but he was too tired to do anything about it. He felt like he should be trying to help Alison instead of bringing up his own problems. Sometimes it felt like all he had was problems.
Alison: Alison pulled her knees up to her chin, not caring that it wasn't safe when they were in the car like this. She sighed, and stole a glance to the side. "Nate...?"
Nate: "What's up?" Nate chocked.
Alison: "You don't seem very okay," she mumbled, looking away from him. "Um..."
Nate: "That's because I'm not," Nate whispered.
Alison: "Would a hug help?" she asked, simply because that was the only way she could.
Nate: "It would kill us," He said jokingly. He always tried to joke when he was sad. "I'm driving. I need to focus on that."
Alison: "You've never been hugged while driving?" Alison asked, laughing a little. "My mom asked for them sometimes. In the car. Which is obvious."
Nate: "Just not now, okay? I'm almost not in the mood." Nate said, not able to look in her direction.
Alison: "Fine," Alison said coldly. "Keep driving, then. Whatever."
Nate: "Wait, are you mad at me for being upset right now?" Nate stopped the car quickly, looking at her in disbelief.
Alison: "I'm just mad," Alison said, unable to comprehend much more about her current mood.
Nate: "I'm sorry okay? This is my fault. All I do is piss people off." Nate continued to drive, still crying. "I should just run away or something."
Alison: "I'd hate you if you ran away," Alison said, looking out the window. "I have few good friends as it is. I'd worry too much about you if I couldn't find you."
Nate: "You'd probably be better off without me. It wouldn't take long to get over it." Nate muttered. "I'm really not as important as you think I am."
Alison: "Do I look like the sort who is good at getting over anything?" Alison asked, still refusing to look at him. "You're important to me."
Nate: "I guess you're not." Nate said. "Maybe I'm not important to me."
Alison: "Think that if you ran away, how crushed I would be," Alison said, frustrated. "Okay?"
Nate: "I didn't know being mad at people was a good way to help them when they're sad." Nate said angrily. "I'm not going anywhere! I don't really have the option of leaving. I don't know if you noticed, but I'm a werewolf that relies on about 3 or 4 people just to make sure I don't kill people. One of them is in the same situation I'm in. So I'm a little stuck at the moment."
Alison: Alison hugged her legs to her more tightly, and shrugged her shoulders up. "I don't know, Nate! You're the one who said he should run away. I'm not sure what we're talking about, but I don't like it, and you're being weird."
Nate: "That's me! Nate the weirdo." Nate finally pulled up to Allison's house. "I guess this is where you go."
Alison: "Hold on, okay?" Ali said, stretching out. "I just- I do want to give you that hug. Even if- yelling."
Nate: "Fine." He said, letting it just happen.
Alison: Alison hugged him, crying into his shoulder, and refusing to let go at first.
Nate: Feeling tears on his shoulder, Nate hugged her back. They needed this. They needed eat other. Even if neither of them really talked about what was happening they'd be there.
Alison: The silence hung over for a while. "Thank you," Alison mumbled, squeezing. "It's so stupid..." she sighed, pulling back. "Haven't hugged anyone but my mom in forever.
Nate: "I uh, I've never hugged someone like that. I'm usually alone when I'm upset. Never really talk to anyone about it." Nate said, sinking in his seat.
Alison: "Same..." Alison mumbled, running a hand through her hair. "I'm glad- that you needed it too. Because- I'm sorry."
Nate: "I'm glad you're my friend. and I'm sorry for yelling at you and pissing you off. You don't deserve that." Nate muttered softly.
Alison: "I suppose... if there's anything that people don't deserve in this world, it's yelling," Alison reasoned. "But it's going to happen. So... I'm fine now."
Nate: "Are you though?" Nate asked, not wanting Alison to leave him yet. "You kinda freaked in the restaurant."
Alison: "I'm fine with you," Alison said, trying to be reasonable. "I- I apologize and forgive you."
Nate: "I was talking about the other stuff. You looked like you were gonna break down at any second." Nate said, not really sure how else to say it.
Alison: "Don't talk about the other stuff," she warned, looking away. "I don't want to- Never mind."
Nate: "Just trying to help." Nate mumbled. "I don't like being alone all the time. I don't want you to be too."
Alison: "Uhm..." Alison shifted in her seat. "I- Uh... I'm not really alone if I have good friends. You're here now, after all."
Nate: "Just because I'm here, doesn't mean you don't feel alone." Nate said. "I totally get it if you dont want to talk. I'm not gonna make you. I just wish you did."
Alison: "I already talked, didn't I?" Alison said in a small voice. "Didn't I say too much in that restaurant?"
Nate: "You didn't say enough." Nate whispered. "I just didn't want other people think we're crazy people with too many issues. Which is probably what we are, but they don't need to know that."
Alison: "I don't really care so much about other people," Alison told him. "They're not going to remember us... Okay? I don't want to say anymore today."
Nate: "Okay. I don't mind." Nate said. "Thanks for going out with me today. I needed that."
Alison: "I did too... Maybe we're not meant for public," she said, opening the car door. "Next time, something less... public."
Nate: "For us, definitely." Nate said with a small laugh. "You're still gonna help me go on a date with Taylor, right?"
Alison: "Duh," Alison said with a light laugh. "I'm here for you there. Just... not today. Bye?"
Nate: "Yeah, I'll see you soon. I promise." Nate said with a small smile
Alison: "Bye, Nate," she said, getting out of the car. "Drive safely, call me if you need me, etc..."
Nate: "Will do." Nate said. He waited until she was inside before driving away.
Alison: She sighed to herself sadly, and made her way inside. That all could have gone better, and it could have gone worse.
I'm starving
Awesome! I haven’t hung out with you in forever.
How bout I swing by your house and we go somewhere?
Gosh, I've missed you, Nate!
Let's do this thing! Adventure!
Yeah I can be there… whenever really you sure?
Harmony, are you okay?
But yeah. How's this weekend for you?
I'm starving
Anyone wanna go out to a diner or something? There’s nothing to eat in my house.
Yeah! Let's do something!
Furry and adorable yes always.
Good. Uh... So you can come over with me... or vice versa?
I'm pretty sure I'm going stir crazy here.
I need friends, or something to do before I start breaking dishes.
My mom tends to use these really bulky sad plastic dishes you're not supposed to put in the microwave because they will cause you to die.
...Discus competition?
SOO!
I’m Bored and need out who wants to go somewhere anywhere?
Can I bring cats?
Maybe we should start up a cat club?
So like regular hanging out, just with cats too.
You make us sound foolish, but essentially.
Maybe we should start up a cat club?
As long as you and the rest of my friends are safe, I’m not gonna go chasing after bullies.
That's a good plan. Would rather we didn't have to worry, though... Alas.
ooc
I'm bored, so come in here if you want company yes?
>Here<
Maybe we should start up a cat club?
I tried to be good with cats. It just didn’t really work out.
I’ve never been slushied, but it kills me every time i see it.
I know. I was there.
I really would rather we didn't do anything involved with slushies. The memories of cold are giving me shudders.
Maybe we should start up a cat club?
Since I don’t have a cat, the anti-slushie brigade sounds like a fun choice.
Oh, right. You suck with cats.
I was joking about the slushies. Mostly.
Maybe we should start up a cat club?
…Slink around the place and lick ourselves?
It's like you're reading my mind.
I meant like we bring our cats... and they sleep and make friends.
Maybe we should start up a cat club?
A cat club? That’s a new one.
It's that, or the anti-slushie brigade. Your choice.
Maybe we should start up a cat club?
A cat club? What would this club do?
Do cat-related activities?
