Trigger warning: horror themes with mermaids
David tore into the flesh of a human that got too close when he lore them with the desire of his light. Humans were just like fish; curious and gullible.
But this one was particularly personal. This was a surf nazi that decided to take their anger out on both micheal and Sam. Yes all they did was intimidate the siblings, that already had his blood boiling, no what really got him to act out his revenge, was the audacity that the surfer had to lay his hands on Lucy, Sam and Micheals mother. She was a kind woman that didn't deserve that.
Marko crawled over to David and ripped a leg off and begun to eat, the sound was amazing to their ears. Marko was particularly protective of Lucy like David was. She felt like a real mother to the group, one they actually deserved.
The surfer was found the next day, bones and body exposed to the world, the news called it a freak shark accident but Sam and micheal knew who it was, they didn't have the hesrt to tell their mother though, they would have done the same but they didn't want to admit it.
Lucy went to the hidden part under the boardwalk that same day, greeted by the boys with welcoming smiles. She talked to them about the shark accident.
Dwayne put on a shocked expression, saying that it was probably a bull shark that did it, they were called bull sharks for a reason; he would comment. He would tell her all the run ins he would have with them but how he always got away.
Marko would crack a joke saying there was a reason he dosent go to a particular part of the water since it's a feeding ground for the bull sharks nursery and he knows some sharks feed on their young if they're hungry while giving birth.
Paul tried to ease her worries with a gift of a beautiful seashell he found while he was swimming mindlessly; she loved the gift, saying how her merboys were the kindest she's ever met.
David loved how even though Lucy probably knew in the back of her mind what happened, that she still cared for them like they were her other sons. He'd do anything to protect her, even going as far as to fight max if he needed to
