Every day I wake up and wonder how Hazbin Hotel is allowed to exist but Super Drags and Q Force got cancelled and were considered "offensive" yet Hazbin Hotel exists.
At the end of the day I blame white queers. It's too early to rant about it but I blame white queers and they're the reason why we can't get any good or diverse queer media because they complain about everything (unless it's white and everyone is stick thin) and don't show up (unless it's white and everyone is stick thin and it centers male characters only, female side characters are only allowed to get crumbs even if they're the main character in their own show)
And it's debatable on if Super Drags is actually "good" but I do believe it was diverse since it showed Drag Queens and queer people of all different colors, sizes and shapes and under all the offensive jokes it had lessons about loving yourself (Lemon's body issues, Saphira's internalized homophobia, Scarlet's abrasive attitude and how it's high key linked to racism and homophobia) and whenever Brazilian queers tried to speak up about the backlash about how they didn't care if the show was offensive because it was about Brazilian queer culture not western queer culture they were told by white queers online that the were wrong about their own culture (really thought Trixie Mattel being in it would at least bring out the performative white women who make loving drag queens their entire personality)
And we know Q Force was Netflix sabotage because they only put the inappropriate jokes out of context in the trailer and by the time everyone checked it out and said "hey it's not so bad it's actually a decent show" Netflix canned it (literally a month after I binged it it got cancelled) but it's the fact that after it was canned no one tried to fight for it or make the case that it was actually a really good show that had potential (especially with the director lady being made to forget that she ever had a wife)
