"Spooks (ft. Joanna Newsom)" by Jonny Greenwood, Gaz Coombes, Danny Goffey // Inherent Vice - Soundtrack (Available Now via Nonesuch)

There was no film that I was looking forward to more this entire year, than Paul Thomas Anderson's Inherent Vice. As has become a regular occurrence with PTA’s films, Jonny Greenwood (Radiohead) has returned to provide the film’s score. One of his contributions this time around comes in the form of a song originally written by his band, Radiohead. “Spooks” is performed by Greenwood with help from Gaz and Danny from Supergrass (also featuring voiceover from Joanna Newsom) instead of Radiohead, but that’s just fine as these are all things that are great in multiple ways. It’s best to just leave the song description to the ears, as it’s better to just hit play than read my ramblings - and also be sure to see Inherent Vice as soon as possible.
