my 3000th post

Hello. So this is my 3000th post. I have never used this account for a while now. I have a personal blog that I maintain more consistently. The reason I don't blog here anymore because as a fandom blog, I see a lot of infuriating and depressing wank and it just worsens my condition. I've been depressed lately--I'm always tired, I lost my appetite for food and life and subsequently lost 10 lbs. I don't even enjoy tv anymore. Just this past week, I received a job offer and I took it. It's not the job I really wanted but  I need something to do and earn money so I won't feel useless anymore. I'm hoping through this employment I'd be less depressed. Just wanted to say hello to everyone that still follows this blog. Thank you.

So I'm kinda obsessed with Flyleaf's Between The Stars. Today I've listened to the complete album for about 5 times. It was just that good. The focal point of this album is the risks that the band probably has taken in creating a new Flyleaf atmospheric soundscape. Among their albums, Sameer and  Jared excel here on BTS. The warpy, trippy guitar pedal effects on Well of Lies, to me, is simply eargasmic. I'm in love with that song. Kristen shines on Platonic and Home with her vocals being pulled to great heights. It must've been from the change in producer, but the bass on this album was very present in all of the songs and it's fricking lovely. The drums are nicely supportive of the guitars and the vocals. Lyrically, their message of hope isn't lost, but some of the urgency is kind of reduced. Their growth as people has of course changed their perspective on things and thus affected their lyric writing. Their music is still heavy sounding; it's the most cohesive album crafted by Flyleaf, at least for me.

If Marionette becomes an anthem for people who are/were trapped in suffocating and emotionally abusive relationship, I’ll be okay with it ^_^
