Got my very first tattoo today!!! Ragathas button eye with a needle and thread!! It was a wonderful experience!! It did hurt but I had no issues!!

Second, my dad that ive never talked too, never even seen, just DMed me on Instagram. Idk what to do...

Here's the meaning behind that tattoo for me :

(Disclaimer : I know tattoos don't have to have meaning, but this one does)

- The heart and wings represent my first love because her nickname was butterfly and she had a lot of impact on who I am today

- The butterfly also represents change, evolution, and the shortness of life

- It also represents doing things that I'm scared of, because IRL I'm scared of butterflies

- The eyes are a motif I've clung to my whole life. It represents fascination, fear, and paranoia for me

- The veins on the heart represent my scars, but specifically not my self-harm scars as the veins are not straight or organised like my sh scars, more so the invisible scars from years of mental illness and trauma

- And I specifically chose Boris for his comic/street art style because my dad used to be a comic artist

Overhaul, this tattoo is about how I've changed for the better despite my fears and my past, whilst also being a reminder of the people I've loved :)

GOT THE FIRST PART OF MY TATTOO!! It was my first ever tattoo!

The next appointment, after this one heals, I'm gonna get a band all around my thigh connected to the ribbon like a garter!! and a sewing needle somewhere on the side!! I anticipated it would be painful, but this part was like a 2/10 on the pain scale for the most part, peaking at a 3. The garter all around will probably hurt a little more though. This tattoo is a birthday present from my mom! I turned 19 in June.
