Build Mode Trick: Textures

You may already know that holding ALT lets you apply wall or floor textures to almost any object in the game, even ones that aren't normally recolourable:

But there's more! ⚠️⚠️⚠️

For whatever reason, this floor stone texture makes things invisible. By applying it, you can hide parts of all kinds of objects and create some pretty interesting results.

Want to put a plant inside an oversized basket? Fill a bowl with popcorn? Stick toothbrushes in a random mug? Now you can!

I haven't been on Tumblr much these days, but I have still been playing, mostly TS4. With the news of the sale, though, I decided I'm done with that game. I was inspired by simsigga over on YT, so instead of buying the new pack, I bought some used copies of TS3 discs to play instead. I still have the original BG from back in the day, but I've lost most of the various EPs over the years, unfortunately. It cost less than one TS4 EP to buy all 4 of these, though, and none of that money is going to EA.

reminder that EA is still a struck company

in light of the sims 1 & 2 re-release, i wanna make sure others know that SAG AFTRA has requested that nothing be purchased from EA until they negotiate and come to a contract agreement with the union.

you can check this page for more info and any news updates that come up. when the contract is voted on by union members, there will likely be notices here and on sag aftra's social media.

Unless their website is out of date, they haven’t called for a purchase boycott at this time. The only situation in which promoting (which would include streaming) a struck video game would be in violation of the SAG-AFTRA strike order is if you had rendered services as a performer in that struck game. Rules do not prohibit others from promoting/playing etc that game - however, the organisers are keen for support from players! So it’s good this is coming up!

While people can certainly participate in ad hoc consumer boycotts, this is not part of the strike order at this stage and the organisers are focusing on support and solidarity - on a practical level, this makes sense because if they are keeping calls for a boycott up their sleeve as part of negotiations, they will want any drop in demand to be directly traceable to the moment they called for that boycott. I personally wouldn’t boycott something I’d otherwise buy until the Union calls for it in the hope of maximising the impact, but I’m not going to discourage others from taking a different view. There are certainly lots of reasons why you might not want to give EA money.

Ik your requests are closed so I wont ask you, but do you know somewhere that one could find some more clothes for the Melody 9 Fat Family children ???

I'm sorry, I don't know of anyone who makes clothes for Melodie9 fat children, the only Melodie9 fat children clothing I know of is on Melodie9's MTS page.

Maybe I'll change my mind later but so far I've intentionally left children and toddlers out of my body shape clothing endeavors, simply because my list of plans for teens and older is already basically endless.

(And those are the reasons why my Melodie9 fat family showerproof skins always have the option to leave children and toddlers as the Maxis default 😌)

Career Legacy Challenge Gen 1 | Week 4

The twins age up: Bea is Sunny and Bell is Wiggly. Arie and Travis hire a nanny to help with the chaos. Thanks to her help, they're able to celebrate their first Harvestfest together with friends. Soon after, brother Brahm is born.
