Youāve already read some of my favorites!! Ā I took a look at your shelves, and I really think you will like the following:
First 1-4 are already on your to-read shelf so I put them first on the listā¦Ā
Sutphin Boulevard - Santino Hassell - Well. Ā Santino Hassell is my fav author, who I discovered through the In The Company of Shadows world. Ā You already read Strong Signal, which he wrote with Megan Erickson, so you have an idea for the quality of both of their writing. Sutphin is the first in his Five Boroughs series and is so good. Ā If strong writing, strong character arc is important to you, you will not be disappointed. Ā He writes in a gritty style that is so original to the genre and has really gained him a large, loyal following. Also, after reading it you will be dying for Raymond and Davidās story, which is the second book in the series - Sunset Park.
Broken - Nicola Haken - So. Freaking. Good. Ā Itās alternating POV between the MC, and deals with depression/mania/self-harm/suicidal thoughts by one of the MCās, while also showing the feelings of guilt and helplessness from the other. Ā If you donāt have triggers for any of the above mentioned, this is a great read.
Out of Nowhere - Roan Parrish - I liked it even better than the first book. Ā The first one was a good story but there was a lot of narration that I found myself skimming at times. Ā This one was much tighter. Ā Plus, the characters were a more ātortured soulsā type which I love.
Aftermath - Cara Dee - Also trigger warnings as this book deals with violence in flashback. Ā The love story is about the bond/dependency/love the two MCās formed while in captivity. Ā Good, but dark.
Cut and Run Series - Abigail Roux - Ty and Zane are pretty much the most loved mm couple of all time. Ā They are amazing. Ā You said you like cops, these guys are FBI agent/partners and each book has a great story while their relationship grows in each book. Ā THERE ARE 9 BOOKS!!! Ā Youāre lucky, because the series is complete. Ā Many of us had to wait in between books which was so hard!
Captive Prince - C.S. Pacat - This book is being read all over tumblr right now! Ā I see a lot of fan art popping up which is amazing. Ā Scroll down my blog and you will see some that Iāve reblogged. Ā This is my 3rd favorite series of all time of any genre. Ā (In the Company of Shadows and Dragon Tattoo being 1 and 2). Ā This is fantasy, deals with political power dynamics, plus relationship power dynamics. Ā Kind of Game of Thrones-like, but easier to follow and a MUCH better love story. Ā The love story is actually pretty epic, and the MCās are unforgettable. Ā Again, it is a complete trilogy so you wonāt be left hanging.
Try - Ella Frank - This is a really popular trilogy, I found the first two books to be the strongest. Ā (Try and Take) One of the MCās is single, and bisexual, the other is just coming out of a divorce and has never been with a guy. (hence the title).
Caught Running - Abigail Roux and Madeleine Urban - You mentioned liking sports romance, this one is really good.
Winging It - Ashlyn Kane - Hockey Romance. Ā Really good. Book cover alert though:), it doesnāt do the characters justice imo.
Lonely Hearts - Heidi Cullinan - This is a new adult trilogy with overlapping characters set in college. They can be read stand alone but are all really good. Ā #1 is Love Lessons, #2 is Fever Pitch and #3 is Lonely Hearts (my favorite of the three)
Where You Are - J.H. Trumble - New Adult - this is a teacher/student love story, not in a fetish way, the MCās just fall in love at a bad time, a few months before the student graduates.Ā The consequences play out fairly realistically. Ā Really well done. Ā
(I think the in focus series by Megan Erickson was already on your read shelf? If not that is a great series as well. I havenāt read #3 yet)
