‘Boys For Pele’ by @toriamos turned 25 this week. Hearing this album again, after several years of not listening to it, its beauty, ingenuity, and impact has not diminished. This is such an important album to me. Its original release was at a time in my life when I was struggling with my identity and direction, and it provided reassurance that I knew what I liked was ‘me’, and to be confident in my tastes and choices. My Song of the Day is ‘Sour Times’ from @portisheadmusic’s exquisite debut album ‘Dummy’. The album was released 26 years ago today (which makes me feel very old). It is a true classic album, one of the best ever in my opinion. There isn’t a bad track on it and when Portishead emerged they sounded unlike any other band.
