David Bowie tribute performance at the BRITs

Another reason why the Grammys just don’t get it.

Lorde played at this year’s BRIT Awards tonight. Her tribute to David Bowie began with Bowie’s own backing band playing a spot-on medley of some of Bowie’s biggest hits, followed by a show-stopping rendition of ‘Life on Mars?’, completely cast in red lights. No ridiculous orange wig. No corny Bowie impression. Just an artist, still well in her youth, showing the raw power of the man’s music. In other words, she put Lady Gaga and the Grammys to shame. Watch above.

David Bowie phoned in to “Live By Request” when The Eurythmics were guests.

This was hilarious, Bowie phones in around 1:42 and he jokes around. He’s full of dorky dad jokes, which I LOVE, and the best part is when he messes with Annie Lennox at around 4:29 where he goes “*heavy breathing* What are you wearing?” Omg. Hilarious. Annie looks so nervous and shy lol, all flustered.
