Did you forget? Love is patient!
God is the best part of my life. Without Him, I can’t imagine where I’d be.
sometimes praying is like
Dear God,
-incoherent screaming-
luckily the Holy Spirit can translate!
”hi God, all i really have to say is *cries*”
Me @ God: *incoherent screaming*
Holy Spirit @ God: help her
In case y'all didn’t know this is literally exactly what the bible says Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. Romans 8:26
“What you cannot do, I can do. Trust Me.”
— Papa God to me
pray even when the waters are calm
Worship is a divine appointment with our God. It is both an extravagant expression and a reserved stillness. It is singing, and it is silence. It’s being still and knowing He is God, and it’s celebrating with banners and dancing. It doesn’t matter what type of song we sing. Whether it’s from the most popular group in the worship music scene or a hymn written in the 1700s, the style is not what’s important — the condition of our heart is.

“When I look at myself I don’t see how I can be saved. But when I look at Jesus, I don’t see how I can be lost.”
— Martin Luther (via heartcrymissionary)
“When I am unmade, Christ remakes me. When I am lost, Christ finds me. When I am without hope, Christ restores it. Whatever it may be, Christ is the answer to all that I seek.”
— T.B. LaBerge // Go Now (via tblaberge)
Do not throw you biblical convictions to the side for anyone.
The more we understand our relationship with God, the more we will understand His promises in our lives, and the greater the joy we will experience.
R.C. Sproul, Everyone's a Theologian
One pastor once shared his testimony that after he had an encounter with God and saw His holiness, he could not speak of that encounter for years because he felt any word he was trying to use to describe the encounter would defile His holiness.
I think a lot of us often forget or don’t truly understand how holy God is, that when we pray, “I want to be more like You Jesus,” we don’t realize that His holiness is supposed to be absolutely terrifying for us who are not without sin.
I think we often forget how serious is the journey of holiness and, most importantly, just how holy God really is. I pray that our hearts will be reminded of this truth as we cry out to Him so we can rely on His strength on this journey. Let us remind each other with this perfect holiness, there is the tender, everlasting, and aggressive love and forgiveness of God that together with His holiness are exactly what we need.
“If you are single today, the portion assigned to you for today is singleness. It is God’s gift. Singleness ought not to be viewed as a problem, nor marriage as a right. God in his wisdom and love grants either as a gift.”
— Elisabeth Elliot (via fearlessproverbs)
Communicating with God is the best time I could ever spend.
“Dear God, Don’t let me hold on to what I need to let go of. Don’t let me fight for what I need to release. Do not let me desire what will eventually destroy me. Do not let me love those who will break my heart. Please, don’t let me get attached to what is not mine.”
-R. Naim
