Sorry for the ranting, but I just don’t get it. People have called me pretty before, even guys have (just never to my face), and yet nobody ever asks me out! I read online that attractive people get approached all the time, so I must not be one of them. I’ve pretty much given up and I resolve to not put any effort into my appearance if there’s no point to it 🤷🏽‍♀️

I consider it a good thing that guys rarely ask you out. I personally want God to send me the right man at the right time. Ya get me? I don’t want random guys asking me out all the time.

Having guys ask you out all the time isn’t even all that, friend! It really isn’t. Just because guys don’t ask you out doesn’t mean you aren’t attractive. Again, just because guys don’t ask you out doesn’t mean that you aren’t attractive! Please don’t wrap your beauty up in that! God says that you’re fearfully and wonderfully made! Your identity can be found in God!!

Seek God and ask Him to send you the right man at the right time! Also, you can surely put effort into your appearance for yourself. Don’t just do it for men! Go look hecka good for yourself! You’re beautiful whether guys say so or not.

Hi! Sorry to add on, but I could relate to this so much. So I have a story to share that can hopefully help you, Anon.

I’ve been told I’m pretty or beautiful by friends, but never by guys (and the only guy who had called me beautiful, besides family, was a guy who thought it would be fun to play with my emotions).

In middle school, I was bullied and told I was ugly. So I believed that for years. In eighth grade, many people made jokes that nobody would ever want to love me. And that hurt.

I moved then started high school and then a guy came along and played with my emotions all throughout high school. We never went out. During this time, all my friends were dating. You know that one friend who was never in a relationship but their friends kept asking them for relationship advice like they were the expert or something? That was me. I was that friend.

I didn’t have my first boyfriend until I was 19!!! And we’re still dating and have been for a year and a half as of next month (but we both know this relationship is in God’s hands in terms of where it goes).

I remember a friend telling me to stop looking for that relationship. That it will come to me. And I did. I stopped and I focused on myself. I prayed to God to send me someone, in His timing of course and He said “Just wait.” I heard His voice for the first time. Then two or three months later, I met my boyfriend (and yes, he does call me beautiful 😂).

Relationships aren’t a big deal. I thought they were but only because everyone made it seem that way. Focus on yourself first. And girl, the stories I could tell you about these guys God saved me from 🙏🏻🙏🏻.

That guy will come in God’s timing. He may be riding on the back of a turtle or lost somewhere, but he’ll be there soon enough. Take the time to love yourself and love God. ❤

Is it Always God’s will to heal someone?

As of right now, miraculous healing is one of the most popular subjects inside and outside the church. Preachers are preaching it, televangelists are guaranteeing, and desperate people need it.  Others feel that God will always heal a person if he or she has enough faith.   So what is the clear answer to one of the biggest questions in today’s world: Is it always God’s will to heal everyone during their life on earth? To find this answer we don’t need a faith healer’s FAQ webpage or a blanket guarantee from someone who has “seen and experienced some things” in a healing room or a jungle overseas. We need nothing more than to incline our ears and fill our minds with answers from the Word of God.

God doesn’t heal everyone all the time and the Bible gives undeniable evidence to support this. Miracles of healing were primarily done through God the Son – Jesus Christ, and His Apostles.   Jesus healed just one man out of a multitude of sick people at the Pool of Bethesda (John 5:3-8). Jesus didn’t heal people in His hometown of Nazareth (Matthew 13:58). After a healing-spree in the district of Galilee, Jesus plainly decided to go somewhere else to preach even though desperately sick and hurting people were looking for Him (Mark 1:38). His reasoning was simple: “Let us go somewhere else to the towns nearby, so that I may preach there also; for that is what I came for.” Christ didn’t come to earth to hold a healing crusade, He came to bring salvation! Even the twelve apostles did not heal everyone, either. Often, there were Christians left unwell in spite of the apostolic power. Paul says to Timothy, “Use a little wine because of your stomach and your frequent illnesses” (1 Timothy 5:23). Why didn’t Paul just lay hands on Timothy and heal him? It wasn’t because Timothy didn’t have enough faith; it was because it was not God’s will to heal Timothy that way.

It is not always God’s will to heal a person physically. A person may sincerely pray and truly have faith that God can heal, but if it is not God’s will to provide the healing at that time, then no healing will come (1 John 5:14). Now if it were always God’s will for people to be healed, then everyone would be healed every time he or she became ill. If good health were always God’s will, then Christians should never die. We can’t blame someone’s sickness on a lack of faith, for we know, biblically, that God sometimes uses illness to accomplish His will. Also, it’s not just wayward believers who get sick. Paul “left Trophimus sick in Miletus” (2 Timothy 4:20), and Paul himself had a physical ailment that the Lord declined to heal (2 Corinthians 12:7–9).

God can and does heal today when He wants to. The question we need to ask in any given situation is, what does God want? Does He desire to heal the individual in this life, or does He have another plan to show His glory through weakness? Someday, all sickness and death will be eradicated (Revelation 21:4) until then, there is a greater healing, the cleansing of sinful hearts, that God performs every day.

God is meant to be glorified; sometimes that involves miraculous healing, and other times it involves permanent healing through death — when a Christian dies, they get to go spend eternity with Jesus! Even though it might cause temporary pain on earth, God doesn’t always choose to heal because He is the one that is meant to be glorified, not us.

This post irks me tbh…

I just want to touch on some Bible verses mentioned.

- In Matthew 13:58 Jesus didnt heal the people in Nazareth because they had a huge lack of faith. He left them for their lack of faith.

- In Mark 1:38, there were so many sick people that needed healing and Jesus just didn’t get to them all. He wanted to go preach to others with the time He had. I don’t think that He didnt want to heal them, He just had other places to be. He wasnt telling people it wasn’t God’s will for them to be healed. He just left cuz He needed to leave and go elsewhere. God is no favor of persons. He isnt willing to only heal some and not others. That is not who He is.

- In 2 Timothy 4:20 it says Paul left Timothy sick. It doesn’t say whether Timothy stayed sick his whole life does it? How do we know Timothy didn’t stop being sick?

- And how do we know if Paul had an ailment? From what The Bible says, I believe Paul had a temptation that He didn’t want to have. It says a demon was sent to torment Him. Doesn’t say he was sick. How would being sick keep one from becoming prideful anyways? Paul’s thorn in his side doesn’t seem like a sickness based on the context!

I truly believe that God wants to heal each one of His children of anything. God doesn’t need to use sickness to bring Him glory. What loving Father would want their kid to be sick so that they could get glory out of it? Who do people think God is!? I seriously don’t understand people’s thinking. Why wouldnt God will it for people to be sick free?? Why wouldnt He want His people healed?

The Bible clearly says that if we ask we shall recieve if we remain in God and He in us. A lot of people do not know this truth that God has really revealed to me and others I am sure. God IS willing to heal His people. He IS willing. Jesus healed every single person that asked Him/that He could unless they didn’t believe. Read The Bible and you’ll see it!! Jesus turned no one away. No one!

Sure God will allow us to go through trials and tribulations, but The Bible clearly says that Jesus bore our iniquities. Who said that trials and tribulations have to be sickness and disease? Why would God want us to have cancer? The heck? Does that sound like who my God is? No, it doesn’t. Cancer is NOT in God’s will. Absolutely not.

People need to know that yes, God is willing to heal people if they ask. Why? Because The Bible says ask God and we shall recieve if we remain in Him and He in us. The Bible says so! If people get mad at me for this. I am saying to you what The Bible clearly says. Either you fully believe it or you don’t.

God wants to heal His people. He surely wants to. He has told me so! If it is the devil’s will for people to be sick. It is God’s will for people to be healed.

Open your eyes to see and ears to hear that The Lord is good and wants His children healed. God doesnt want to see us bogged down by sickness and disease.

I believe the gun crisis in America is really highlighted by the fact that this was in my syllabi this semester, when before most professors thought it unnecessary. We shouldn’t have to live in a world where students have to be concerned about shooters coming into their classes and killing them. One of my professors even took an active shooter class this summer in case something like this occurs on my campus or elsewhere. Please read this advice and keep it in mind just in case.

I’m about to have a fun afternoon.

So my trainer’s bf cheated on her. She broke up with him. He’s holding her stuff hostage until she agrees to talk with him. Which she refuses.

She trains; for free mind you; three college linebackers, a college wrestler, two martial artists, a body builder, and… wait for it…. a Navy seal. We’re gonna go get her shit for her.

This should make for an interesting story.

So everyone who commented on this being like the avengers, you are absolutely right. That’s what all of us had in our heads as we were rolling over to dude’s house. But I’m very proud to say, this ended without violence.

Arrival:

So the super friends all jumped into one of the linebacker’s explorer and headed over to dude’s house. Ok the squad: you all know me, but the other martial artist is a little wirey hapkido guy, the linebackers are all giants (an estimated combined weight of I’d say 750-800lbs), the wrestler looks like an escaped gorilla, then the navy seal looks like your average guy but something about him is unsettling. Really unsettling. Unfortunately, the body builder had to work. Anyway, we send the Hapkido guy and the wrestler to the door first and dude answers, screams at them, and then slams the door in their face. Then the giant linebackers head over and they ring the door bell again. Lo and behold, he was much more polite, but still denied access. Finally, me and the seal join the fray. I casually make my way towards the front of the group, but the seal decides to CLIMB THE BANISTER. We all just turned and started at him completely shocked when dude answers the door. He looks at this weird mismatched group of relatively threatening individuals and one guy perched on his banister like batman. He was like “FINE. Go take what you’re looking for.”

Retrieval:

So we’re all walking through the house gathering what we think are her things and putting them into two boxes. Mind you. We are completely guessing. We didn’t even tell her we were coming, therefore we had no list of items.The only one really being productive was Hapkido, who was legitimately looking for stuff. The linebackers were just randomly picking up furniture, turning it over, and putting it back down. Just showing off how strong they were. In case the numbers game wasn’t enough, I guess they were letting him know they could break him if they wanted to. The seal was just shadowing dude in his own house. Walking behind him, not saying much, just being creepy. Then there’s me. Who was causing general mischief…. He said to take what I was looking for, that’s what I was looking for. Ahaha and the wrestler made a fricken sandwich. Because “you guys look like you have it under control, and I’m a sucker for egg salad.” We were in and out in 15 minutes.

Delivery:

So the autobots rolled out and headed towards homegirl’s spot. She was conveniently outside when we rolled up. We got out and she was like, how do you all even know each other. The truth is, we don’t. She sent us all an email once and didn’t blind copy us all. She vented to all of us about dude holding onto her stuff and we started emailing and that was that. We told her that we went to see her ex. “OMG what did you say to him?” Nothing. We’re not messenger boys. We’re delivery boys. And we gave her her boxes of stuff. She went through the first box and said that was most of her stuff. Then she got to my box and asked “Wtf is all that shit.” So I explained that I took all the batteries out of his remote controls, his deodorant, the light bulb out of his master closet, every pair of dress socks that I could find, the laces out of his running shoes, and all the toilet paper in the house. The guys just looked at me and kind of nodded like they were impressed. She then unexpectedly started CRYING and thanked us. So you have this group of meat heads all standing awkwardly with this weeping trainer. It was quiet for a second when the seal was like “So…. chipoltle?” And we all got burrito bowls.

What a great day.

Sorry if this isn’t the right place but I felt like its important to add, this is the most real shit I have seen on my dash in a while. After I got my license I drove everywhere, constantly picked up my friends and really just drove like a maniac making dumb decisions left and right. Now one of my best friends is a WoC and I helped her get her license and I always told her ‘9mph over the speed limit and the ticket gets thrown out in court’ because that is what I’d been taught. One day she was driving and I mentioned that to her and she kept insisting that it was 5mph. It took me YEARS to realize PoC can’t afford that extra 4mph!!!!!!!!!
