it's TRULY a pity that there's no prospective "fandom" around here for La promesa (for one, idk how easy it'd be to watch the show outside spain). because yes, I know people IRL that watch it and that I can talk to about it (mainly my mother xDD).

BUT. although there are plenty of things I can say about the show and discuss with those people (singing praises to Jana as a protagonist, complaint about the cop's stupidity, laments on Pías tragedy, my curiosity about Simona's past, theories about the secrets, my appreciation for how this show writes the working class characters, etc. etc.)...

if I tried to talk about how hard I'm falling for the Rebecca-Mrs. Danvers vibe these two bad bitches bring to the show they'd all look at me like I've gone insane xDD

I don't exactly follow it; I watch episodes with my mother whenever I go back home and she's all caught up (the snail pace of the plot means I don't miss much lmao), and sometimes an episode by myself or scenes in youtube.

I think this may be a misconception bc of how they cast “young” Regina and Snow. If my memory serves, Regina was only married to Leopold for about 8-10 years, since she’s about 33-34 during the initial curse and had been fighting Snow and Charming for several years. That would put Regina at ~19 when she married Leopold and ~28-29 when she turned on Snow. So, still a while! But not quite 20 years
