sorry i was about to be really annoying on prev post so here’s my drafted tags and more rambling

​to hurt someone and enjoy it is kind of paired with a desire to hurt oneself in a way. and i think asking people to hurt you for your own enjoyment is similarly paired with a desire to hurt others in some way too. BUT THEYRE BOTH DESIRES they’re both something we want from others and often in a sexual context and the idea that something we ask or demand from someone in a sexual context can be inherently predatory or not depending on your role in it is so dangerous and stupid. it can be emotionally taxing and vulnerable to invite pain but it’s also emotionally taxing and vulnerable to be the one inflicting the pain and if you’re ignoring that side of it i think you’re not emotionally mature enough to be engaging in that kind of dynamic and you’re going to fuck someone up badly. considering you apparently only want to have sex with someone if they don’t want it right? a sadist is inherently a predator after all and that’s icky.

also like getting even further from the point but i do also really dislike like, how people react when you become a masochist from childhood trauma vs a sadist like everyone understands and sympathizes with the traumatic masochist. but im still talking about like two 4 year old children. something something not fitting into the mold for the ideal victim.
