About Me!
Hi! I wanted to do a little bit about myself and some of my interests. I will also put other technical things since I've already gotten some people asking for things.
I am 25 and a freelance, self-taught artist. What does that mean? Well, to me, it just solidifies that this is a hobby of mine. I didn't go to school for it, and don't really see this being a career.
Why do it then? I've been drawing since I was a literal baby. My sister and I are both super artsy in every sense of the word, and I never have time to do it much anymore with college and adult responsibilities.
I never get to be an artist anymore, and I miss it. I'm motivated to try and use this as an opportunity to better my skills and work on things that I know I'm not good at.
What do I draw? Mostly portraits and anime stuff. I am EXTREMELY bad at drawing animals and body anatomy. I'm not the worst there is, but I am definitely mediocre at best. I've never drawn a comic, but I will say it's definitely an interest of mine. My old middle school friends and I used to draw and read each other's fan-made comics in composition notebooks, so it would be nice to relive that. I hated middle school, but man, do I miss them.
Since this is just a hobby for me and I intend to just draw whatever I want and what I feel like, REQUESTS and COMMISSIONS are not on the cards. I appreciate that some of you want that, but since I have a new account, people are already taking advantage of it. I may have a new account, but I am not new to the platform, nor am I naive. Respect that.
I also have a chronic illness that is just as flaky as I am, so how I'm feeling is going to determine how active I am. People on AO3 have probably already picked up on that. I can go for months or years at a time, but I never truly drop anything once I start it. I don't want people who enjoy that art, or those fanfictions, to feel abandoned like that. LOL.
If the chance were to arise, do not trace my art, do not steal my art, and do not repost it elsewhere. This is a safe space for me to explore and for others to enjoy. If you want to reblog, though, I'm alright with that.
Lastly, I just wanted to point out some other interests I have! I am an avid fanfiction writer and actually have a surprising amount of traction on AO3, but I'm trying to keep these interests separate! I work a full-time job and 2 part-time jobs, so the availability I have is always a toss-up. I'm currently trying to write a book! Can you tell I'm trying to heal my inner child and indulge in my interests?
